For what it's worth, I swapped my wheels last night (put the wide ones on the front), and have not run into any rubbing issues. Staggered 162s with PS2s, all stock sizes, stock xi suspension (with Sport package, if that makes any difference), about 62k miles on the clock.

What I did run into was noticeably less understeer. I love it! It's how the car should have handled from the factory. Looking forward to a square setup with 255s all around.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing (Forgestar F14 square) on an 09 335xi. Anyone running this setup have any regrets? Is 255/35/18 with ET 37 the best option in terms of staying true to original diameter and avoiding clearance issues? Thanks

Sorry to sidetrack the thread, but do you think taking it down a notch to 245 with a small drop would rub? I am trying to figure out what size tire to put on my 8.5" squared setup.

You may consider going et35. I am running et37 and could use a couple mm on the strut side.

Any pictures of these 255/35/18 setups? The op's pics don't show any more.

just fitted Forgestar F14 9x18 ET35 square on my wife's 320d xdrive (LCI), and it fits. Not that much space left on the strutside, but it is enough
The car is standard, not lowered.

I'm wondering how many people have done this set up and had any issues? I am really interested in this, but don't want any issues.
What do you guys recommend 8.5 or 9 wheels with 255 tires?

8.5 should be plenty wide... that's stock width rear and stock rear tire size.

I am going with APEX ARC 8's 18/8.5 and I definitely want to keep a square set up. Does anyone have pics of the 255 square set up? I may just go 245 to avoid any problems.
