Blingbling, did you ask your dealer which week your car would go into production? I ordered mine in late november and even then they knew when my car was scheduled for production.

I'm looking forward to the power most of all. I have an E46 330xi now. It moves just fine, but after driving a 335i, it feels sluggish. The handling should be great, too. Finally, a rear-drive car! And I'm looking forward to the iDrive and Comfort Access.. Just because they're cool. I missed having nav in my 3-series, I had it in my X5.

Well, I know that I have already posted this on another thread, but since we are all whining here, I might as well jump in.
I ordered my e92 in mid December and I still do not have a produciton number. When I ordered it, I was told that I should be able to take delivery of it in early to mid February. Well, I heard this weekend that I will not have a production number until sometime in March, which means my delivery date is now sometime in April, maybe. WTF! Ohh, and since we are talking about what we are most excited for about the car, well, not just the fact that this is going to be my first brand new car, I am also getting out of a Chrysler. Enough said.

I called the 800# often enough to get a repeat customer relations person. Remembered my name and car. It's on the assembly line. Original order made 11/16/06. Didn't get a production number until mid December.

I would try calling around to other nearby dealers and see if they have any open production slots in their January allottment and can match your deal. If so I would jump ship to the new dealer! |

And to answer the OP, can't wait to stop driving a borrowed Chrysler mini-van (totalled my Acura in November, so I guess it's my own fault). The 300hp and 300 lb/ft won't hurt either =) |

Looking forward to the following in chronological order:
1-Flying down south to participate in PCD 2-Being driven to PCD in a nice BMW 3-Making eye contact with my new baby for the first time 4-Taking some turns on the Performance Center track 5-Driving back home with my new baby, figuring to vary engine speeds by speeding up to cars in front, slowing down & then blow past them to catch up to the next group 6-Pulling onto my driveway and easing my baby into her new home I'll have to park the Jetta around the block until I figure out how to break the news that it lost it's spot in the garage. Maybe I'll take the Jetta for a car wash and an ice cream cone. Sibling rivalry, it ain't pretty you know.

Alright peeps...
I ordered my e92 on 12/13/06, and guess what, I got my production number yesterday (1/25/07). Thank god. I guess the real wait has now begun.
