Thanks for all the suggestions, I'm going to give that powerbox a shot. Will tell you guys how the car responds once I installed it.

*Slightly off topic rant*

Not to pull up an older thread and beat a dead horse, but guys, seriously. If you've got a 325, or even a 330, you're not gonna squeeze much more out of the NA N52. Scoops, intakes, exhaust, whatever. Short of a longblock overhaul, you can't get much out of it with bolt-ons. 10/20 hp gains can't be felt, at all. You might as well put stickers on your car and say it got 'faster'.

However, I totally agree on getting a ECU 'chip', to increase response and eliminate the pedal lag that plagues the NA e90s, and BMS is by far the best product out there right now. The difference in response makes the far feel MUCH quicker, and you get better fuel mileage since you don't step on the gas as hard now during launches. The remap is bonus, and Terry over at Burger does great work, so I trust what he says about gains with the chip, but again, 10hp/tq gain is NOTHING.

The best way for you to make the NA e90s faster is weight loss. Take out as much crap from your car... and if you're serious, remove the back seats, take out the lining in the trunk, the toolbox, remove the fat girlfriend, or date a skinny one. Improve the power/weight ratio and you'll really see a change in performance. BMW has done a great job squeezing power out of the N52, there's really not too much we can do. The reason the 335 is so responsive to tuning is because of the incredible N54 block. We can chip (really chip and remap, not piggy-back like the BMS) and push the turbo harder to push more boost, resulting in much better power numbers. The internals in the N54 is MUCH stronger than the N52, and that's why there's still no turbo/supercharge N52s out there yet. (At least, for normal people) Stop wasting money trying to make NA e90s more than what they are... save the money and get a 335 down the road. Really.

*End rant*

I take it you fell out of the wrong side of the bed this morning? Or did I somehow insulted your mother? Hehehe.

Thanks for the advice, but as I've already said repeatedly, I don't have the $$$ for a 335i so I'm going to work on the 325i, just make it more responsive and eliminate the lag and all, and for the last time, I am not planning to turn it into a 335i or M3. Hope that is clear for you. Besides, it's my car, who are you to say what I can and cannot do with it? Hehehe.

How did you go with the PBX? Did you ordered it online or just bought it off from a mod shop in HK?

Just buy that powerbox online and Terry of BMS does provide Int'l shipping to Hong Kong by US Postal Service!! You'll have it in yr mail box normally a week after.....perhaps, you better act quick rather than bumping with the traditional X'mas mail rush after mid of Nov in the States!! Good Luck...

I emailed Jason of BMW a couple days ago, and they referred me to Boss Motorsports in Singapore. Boss Motorsports is the distributor for the BMW Powerbox for Asia??? However, I emailed them and the price they quoted me was way beyond what I had expected, hence why I am going to get it shipped to a friend in the US/CAN. Let me know what you guys find out!

Been real busy dealing with unexpected extra work load for last 2 weeks, so no time to buy yet. Hopefully, I should get a break in around two months which should give me some time to get that powerbox.

is it worth to install? I understand it is not a magic wand to give extra power. just wonder how different you feel, e.g. the car reacts better?
