I waited a week for the tranny to adapt before posting, as rpm's in relation to speed and gear were funky (unstable) the first day or two. Austin said this had to do with the AT being reset after the flash. The rpm's seem normal again in relation to speed and gear, but my car is not any more responsive at 1500 rpm's and slower speeds than prior to the flash.

When I say responsive, I mean when you apply slight throttle input, the car responds as expected. It is night/day between this and prior to the flash. Rolling slowly in traffic 1K RPM and above, the car just smoothly accelerates per throttle input on my car. Not sure what to make of your issue.

This is the best bang for HP/TQ dollar available. I have had two piggyback systems and I wouldn't go back to them regardless of price. You can get the GIAC 1, stock map and handheld map switcher for about $1050.00.

As a courtesy, we do not charge labor for flashes/reflashes.

Austin,
Since you haven't returned my call from yeasterday, please read post #24. Maybe you can respond. Does throttle response/acceleration at lower rmp's with an AT with the GIAC flash depend upon MSD controller and BMW software version? thx

I had this question since stage 1 came out. From my understanding, GIAC applies its own throttle response in the flash. If you had the wastegate software fix that increased lag, flashing to stage 1 would fix this.
@Austin, a confirmation would be nice. |
