Worried about mine even more now and if you make it harder for them to get off, as above they'll get annoyed and may damage it further....

Gutted for you mate, I have the same wheels and am now thinking I should have some better security for them......
I've had various locking wheel nuts on different cars over the years and after repeatedly loosing the locking keys, I know they are all fairly easy to get off with the right tools unfortunately. |

they used to have a great deterrent for this sort of thing in south africa, a flame thrower along the side of the car! i use two locking nuts on each wheel but as has been said theres always the likelyhood they will damage the car in frustration.

Wtf is going on in this country
There's no bloody social stigma to breaking the law anymore or rather the punishment doesn't fit the crime. It's not going to change what has happened but I genuinely feel for you and I know you won't have done, but I'd have cried tbh and I don't cry that easily for a woman. Easier said than done, but don't let them win and spoil the enjoyment of owning and driving your car. |

Sorry to hear this - 2 of mine got nicked in the Spring.
You could try these people for the replacements - http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/bmw...13m_wheel_1824 I ordered mine and they were delivered the next day (BMW were going to take 10 days). They have an afiliate shop in Luton where you can pick them up. |

Hmm, suppose it's possible on cars with big sidewalls and non RFT's, certainly with 19's on our BM's we got 30 &35 series tyres and also solid RF sidewalls so if you let air out you'd be lucky it dropped enough to pull the wheels out from under it, may be possible still though!

You can jack the car so the wheels are about 2" off the ground without triggering the alarm.
As an aside I just got a letter from the local stealer (Scothall Borehamwood) advising that there have been a large number of wheels stolen and promoting the McGuards BMW specials for £40 or so. A great vote of confidence in the BMW locking wheel nuts then. |

Sorry to hear this op.
On a lighter note. How do we feel about buggery as a punishment? Vincent Vega once said 'you never FUCK; with another mans automobile.' and he was right. Hypothetical situation. Scrote tries to nick your wheels. You spot him, give chase, his mates scatter and you catch one. Adrenaline takes over, you whip it out (rubber no doubt) and give him a good side order of pork sword then boot him on his way. Would he go to the police? Evening son... Now den geezer, some guy just bummed me innit... Chortle, you what... Yeah geezer, I was out wiv dick and dom nicking this geezers wheels, when e clocks me and gives me one up tha trumper... Chortle... Alright son, fuck off then... On the other hand. How does the community see that...? I mean if I came on here and flip reversed this post - told you the story above, but that I'd caught the fucker and bummed him... Well... (Helen) would that punishment fit the crime? How many of you would say... Matt you sick fucker!!!? And how many would say... Well... I wouldn't do it, but good on ya. That'll make the little bastard think twice. Just some food for thought. I've never buggered a fella before... Doubt I would unless in some kind of prison 'live or die' scenario. Meh. Prob I'm pissed lol. Matt |
