even though XI is a bit harder to do and takes longer(i prefer to drop the subframe down and let it hang while supporting the engine with a stand), my prices are still the same for both cars...$250.

It generally takes 2.5 hours but we only charge 2 hours labor @ $85 an hour. We've had to correct quite a few installs from inexperienced "shops" who end up charging 6 hours labor while butchering the pipes.

I was quoted $200 which I think is fair. I've been contemplating doing it myself, but I think I might regret it, looks like a PITA. So I think I"ll just get it done.

Old thread, lol. Some of the quotes here are extremely fair. A friend of mine recently got some quotes from local shops and I think the cheapest was around $450-500 with the highest being $875 (downpipes NOT included) :/

Wow! I installed my vrsf downpipes on my own. It was so easy. I did it under jack stands too. Theres a video by AR i beleive it is, which shows step by step. Feels kinda good when you know you did it yourself!

Wow. I always have jack stands and keep the jacks on the jacking points as well for a back up but anything is possible. Sorry about your friend!
