as a yankees fan, i thought the phillies had the best rotation in baseball and they would go all the way without seeing a single game 7... but i didn't take in to account The Beard oh and i always thought howard was overrated. he sure proved me right by going without a single RBI in the entire postseason - what a fail

I want to say we have a slight edge with Bumgardner but suppose we even out, our BP is right up there as one of the best...You are right it is a team effort, but Boy is nice to have a hotter hitter like Cody Ross when it matters. |

Rangers in 2 (The Giants get killed so badly in the first two that they refuse to play any more and forfeit the Series).

Hey buddy, I'll bet you a national anthem singer with a huge hat with skyscrapers/SF City skyline on her head it doesn't run that way.... I do think it's going to be a hell of a Series. Here are two teams no one bet would make it this far. Pretty cool no matter how you look at it. The weather reports keep changing. Looked like rain for Wed and Thurs but now that's been revised to "it might rain". (It poured like crazy over the weekend here and it looks like the storm door is open--but predicting if/when out here is hard given how things form over the ocean.) We'll have to see how that plays into things--I suspect the officials will want to keep play moving unless it's standing water on the field.... The only thing I'm worried about are my fingers. I don't think I have enough fingernails left from the pennant race for the World Series. I'm chewin' on bone after the last few games the Giants put me through. Gonna have to get a big bag of seeds to keep me busy I guess and try to keep 'em off the floor. Last edited by Finnegan; 10-26-2010 at 06:40 PM.. |

Beating Cliff Lee was the feat that will allow the Giants to take it in 4 or 5. But, knowing the Giants, it will take them 6 or 7.
