Yes, mine came without the spanner too, the other tool would be to hand crank a sunroof if you had one.

Not in hertfordshire, where a gang has access to them all and had mine stolen!!!

Deano - are the Mcguards from BMW the ultra ones with the spinning part - think I may take your advice and invest in some.

No they are the normal ones Black 27178, these are the ones that the BMW dealerships sell!

Exactly the same just plain silver/metal instead of black, those two are the ones that fit correctly!!!

Not sure as Mcgard website doesn't even list the ultra version!!!

the ultra have the spinning shrouds which the standard dont have I believe. although searchin online I can only find chrome in the ultra and not black - anyone have a set of the black ones?

They don't do the Ultra in black, only the standard. I have the standard ones and I think they're fine - it would be suitably difficult to remove without trashing the wheel.

I have the standard in black bought from Mcgard (27178), not aware of the ultra in black when I purchased mine, standard still better than BMW. Check out www.mcgard.com 27179 silver 27178 black
