Just got off the phone with Shiv@vishnu, he and I are both very excited about this trip to DC. We (335i fellas) are going to have the updated version (400 wtq) hardware by the time of this tuning session (end week of Feb. 07).
For Evo folks, he is still working on the newer version hardware, and it is not going to be finished by end of feb, so sorry. And, for those who are on the list, if you can pm me your real name and phone number (best number to reach), I will pass it to Vishnu, so they can collect your deposit. If we can do this job quick, so he can get the flight ticket and confirm the hotel, the air fare will be alot cheaper than do it at the last min, also with the hotel. Thank you guys! |

if you do : ... you should find all this out very easily!
for your question, dealer would not able to diagonost that you even have piggy-back on your car, except if your car has defected ECU, and you bring your car in for warranty work, than yes, obviously. But, if you are bringing for service or carwash, than No. I hope you understood! |

I may be interested in this.... I should have my car around mid-Feb. I still need to sell my current car, so it kinda depends on how much $$ I get and when it actually sells.
So how far in advance do you need do you need my yes or no on this? |

Guys, I am out for the Xede for now, I will have to be in Vegas for work at the end of Feb, and I guess I'll apply the $1300 to gambling money...I am very interested in how it goes for you all, and when the production units come out, maybe I'll buy one and install...good luck.

Perhaps I can get an answer here, from what I've noticed the S.FL group and pretty sure the TX group reported that Shiv did not have to do many adjustments (if any) to the Xede and the cars ran fine on the base map that he developed. Having said that, is the dyno just serving as a confirmation of the gains made or are we expecting him to do adjustments/tuning when he comes here?
Also, I haven't seen many but does he have a 93 oct map for a xede w/ exhaust? Thanks |

From what I've heard, with just a base install you get really good gains…. But Shiv can tweak and optimize the settings and get a few more HP out of it. The main benefit of going to a tuning day seems to be the fact that you get free install from the XEDE pro, plus you get the extra tweaking from Shiv…. Plus you don't have to wait on your unit to be shipped by mail. I dunno how the maps work for exhaust changes…..…. I assume he would just put the 93 Octane map on there and then tweak it. Maybe with exhaust he's just able to tweak a little more. Also, will this be the final production version of the XEDE that we'll get or will this still basically be a "beta" unit? I thought I read somewhere on here that the unit was basically done and that he was just working on software and self install directions to be done. Is that true? |
