Rest assured I do drive in a courteous manner. I am nowhere near the fastest or most aggressive driver on the road. That "honour" goes to those vans. The trouble is, other road users don't show courtesy to me. So I want to teach them a lesson every now and then and remind them not to bully a bimmer driver. |

Thanks for all your comments ... I guess I should just save up my money and wait for the F30 3 series that's coming out in 2 yrs time ... although I have to say I am sorta interested in this as well:

I guess it depends what u r looking for. Merc is a comfort car. If i were u, i'd have gone for E92 335 instead of getting this. much more fun I guess...

I've test-driven the current C class while deciding whether to buy that or the 3 series. I like the current C class, it seems better in handling and sportiness compared to the older c classes., not to mention it looks better too. But it still lags behind the 3 series. It emphasis is on comfort more then performance, which is true for many Mercedes cars, that's not a criticism, but that's just how Mercedes design many of their cars. I'm told by my cousin that the c63 amg is similiar in some ways to those American muscle cars (but with greater comfort and refinement), that is: terrific straight-line speed, but not that great in handling compared to the M3.

without idrive though, I think the new C is a bit better.... in terms of interior...
C63 has all the power you need, but you can't control it... hence slower than an m3 on a track. But to us who are not professional drivers, it doesn't make much difference, just keep the traction control on... I wouldn't get a C200 though, at least C230 for it to have some grunt |

Nah, the 3 series is still the king in terms of performance and handling. The C class is better through if you want comfort and a smoother ride, since the 3 serie's ride is compromised by the harsher run-flat tires. |

Oh really? Yes ... I am actually interested in it as I've always been attracted by the new C-class styling.
Does your colleague drive his/her car hard? Do you know whether or not there have been any damage previously? Maybe you can send me a PM with some details! ![]() ![]() |
