Delete the vacuum tubes and washer reservoir, and you have a shitload of room. Let's be honest, you probably wouldn't be using the vacuum tubes on a single you would bother top mounting anyway. Very happy that Donovan made it out before the end of the year, I know that it was something he was really hoping for but wasn't super optimistic about.

If a single turbo option was accessible like that, and relatively easy to do, I would think about it, seriously. Otherwise I had zero interest in a big single or any upgraded turbo for that matter.

That e30 is badass.

its been awhile since ive had my head in a n54 engine bay, but that sounds possible from what I remember.

I too would rather have a top mount. I have a bottom mount on my e36 and to say space is tight is an understatement......PITA to work on but ive gotten pretty damned good at it.

Yeah, I always found it a little easier to work with the front end of the car off. But even then, it was still a gigantic PITA But I would imagine you spend a fair deal more time wrenching on your e36 than I did when I had mine.

IMO, you could probably fit just about anything in that spot just by deleting those two things and the coolant overflow tank (forgot about that one).

Look on the left. Move/replace the coolant overflow tank, delete those two vacuum canisters (they control the stock turbos, and I wouldn't want to put those on any sort of big single upgrade if I was doing it right), and move/delete the windshield washer bottle. That leaves you with a space big enough to put just about anything in.

cool thank you, that is how I remembered it, plenty of room it seems.

I would love to see a pic of all that crap removed along with the current exhaust mani's and turbo's and piping. Imagine there would then be enough room to have your fun.

if these guys are stuffing 80mm bullseye turbo's in e30's on a top mount, the 335 can fit something in there too.

Matt - I spoke to Donovan for a good amount of time about tuning (we use alot of the same software and ecu's) and then about possibly having some fun with my car when we were at MIR....discussed a few different things I am pondering...
