Interesting ! That makes a lot of sense !
That explains also why I had wind noise over 150-160 km/h (100mph) on my previous car (mitsubishi eclipse coupe).

a few months ago I bought a used 2007 335i coupe and it had a lot of wind noise in driver window above 60. I took it to dealer, took two tries but they fixed it. first visit they replaced rubber seals under warranty, still had noise. second visit they said they adjusted the door. seems to have fixed it.

I get it pretty bad, on both sides at anything over 60 mph. Gonna have them check it out next time I take it in.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I am experiencing wind noise with the driver side window down. So the fix is a door adjustment?

You mean up? Otherwise, I think there's a pretty good chance some air is leaking in...

I'm getting the same problem, right after 60mph, gonna have it checked out next week. I did notice the weatherstrip had a tear in it. That may be the issue. I'll see.

yes, after second trip to dealer, they adjusted my door, so they say and it seemed to fix. I think they may have also adjust the window regulator as well. not sure.

E90 LCI...wind noise is standard at 120 + KMPH

so maybe 80-90 MPH?

wind noise is horrible in BMWs.
