try making your brakes front biased using the quicktune in the race. after doing that i got first place on the first try

Anyone else irked by the Grand Tour race in Tuscany racing with the Lambo at night? Does it really slide that much in the corners?!?

My copy just arrived today and all this time before hand I was wondering just how bad the Top Gear Lotus challenge was.

After 7 or 8 spin outs in turn ONE, I gave up. I can't even get thru the first turn without spinning out or slamming into the car in front of me. Im going to give it another try later on when I have more time, my goal is to at least pass all the challenges.

The VW Bus race was slow and boring, but I did almost manage to get gold. Finished 2nd, only after bouncing off the 1st place van in an attempt to pass him in the final turn. Bastard blocked me.

Mid-engine cars are tricky in this game, but I thought I sucked because I couldn't see shit, even with the high beams! I spent most of my time bouncing off walls

I got the VW Bus race earlier today. On the 2nd to last corner, if you make your entry slightly wide, you don't have to hit your brakes at all, and you will catch several vans in front of you. But be warned, for some reason that area of the track is super sensitive to collisions. If you as much as tap the person in front of you, you will be DQ'd.

Its a gutsy move, but doing it allowed me to go from 5th to 2nd in that turn alone. I passed the guy in 1st place before the first corner on lap 2.

That corner is incredibly forgiving; you can screech in on the inside and make up a couple seconds on everyone else real easy too. Outside, inside, doesn't matter. For some reason, everyone else is slow and it's really fast for us.

OK. The very last go-kart race on the Autumn Ring Mini makes me want to say "Fuck this game". I can't finish it.

Agreed! It took me at least 30 tries to not spin out or get spun by the other asshats, I mean, drivers. Also don't take some of the curbs. If you do, you'll fly.

LMAO, I see the "complaining on the forum" trick works for you too, lol. If I can't pass a challenge, I get pissed and vent on a forum. Then on the next try I nail it. Works every time

I will come back and do that race again eventually to try and get 1st place. Right now my goal is to get that Ferrari F10. I'm one level away from it and 6.5M credits short.

I found an old Evo GSR in the used section, it comes stock with 246hp so I was set. Except it badly needed an oil change and because of it the hp rating was at 231hp. I did the oil change and the hp jumped up to 248hp! Now I can't use the damn thing!

I hit the jack pot and found a Ford RS200 street car in the used dealer for a little over $100K. I had a ton of money from doing the special events so I bought it on impulse. I got it tuned to 243 HP for the first stages, AWD, and lightened up a bit. So far so good

So who got gold on the grand tour event? The Alfa at Eiger and LP640 at Toscana are close to impossible to get gold on.

For those of you who haven't done the Top Gear Advanced race yet, you're in for a real treat. My advice to you is, when going into the first corner on the first lap, if somehow you manage to catch the wagon in front of you, dont pass him. You dont want to be in 7th place upon exiting that corner :P

WUT? I've been stuck at college without my PS3 for a week, but that sounds interesting. Is it at least a fast wagon?
