To OP: I'd get a 6000k if you were looking for white.
I'm actually having a problem choosing what yellow bulbs to get for my fogs... Nokya 2500k ($20) or PIAA 2500k ($65)... |

I asked this same question here and got alot of helpful responses but long story short, seems like HID fogs have worse performance in true fog conditions as opposed to halogens. I ended up going with PIAA bulbs and they look great.

And depending on what type of bulbs you are using in the fog housings, I would not go higher than the 35w value of the stockers. 55w may tend to melt the housings as they were not designed to take the xtra heat of higher wattage. Halogen bulbs throw more heat as wattage goes higher Some cheaper HID capsules throw more heat than factory halogens also. The capsules Alpine use do not Of course LED's are coolest of all

I've been eyeballing the H8 Yellow LEDs for fog lights.
Considering that the fogs are non projector, and may create a lot of glare, i'd like to stick to LEDs, so the light diffusion isn't so pervasive. Definitely Yellow LED H8 fog bulbs. No reason that you can't do HID yellow 3000K bulbs, but it would create hell glare. |
