I had some issues doing the lowering perch in the front on a 328Xi before..they didnt fit, even with the extra washers they give you to space it out..you dont have enough thread to catch the locking nut.

IMO it doesnt really do crap for height...stick with H&R springs and Bilstein shocks and it will be fine.

^^^ hey Matt, I saw those posts on the other thread where he talked about the fact that you couldn't get the perches to fit on his xi. I guess I'll set up struts and springs and see how that works out.
Thanks

The biggest improvement is in the quality of the ride. On the stock shocks with H&R Springs; the car was very bouncy and harsh over the road. It was too stiff especially in NYC. Now, the car is very very smooth over the road and when I take a bump; I am not getting an upset stomach LOL or feel like I cracked a rim on a pothole. The pics would be the same as any car H&R Springs, the shocks have nothing to do with the way the car is setup.

I did not do an alignment but I will see if I need one. I didn't do one when I changed the springs to H&R. Also, on both the stock shocks and Bilsteins I was running non RFT. I am running Conti DWS so the ride is ULTRAAA smooth almost like my E39 540i and E60 550i I had.

Thanks for the review. How about the handling? Any improvements or too early to tell?

I feel the drive drives A LOT tighter and less body roll! The ride is much improved due to a) no RFT's and b) using shocks that are appropriate for the springs. Also, I do feel the steering is a bit looser but in a good way. I feel it is more connected then before. Makes it a little easier for parking.

It would better because 1) cheaper since you don't have to pay twice 2) you may want to do it because the ride may be two stiff. I LOVEE the way the car drives and rides. Way to go!

Oh yeah

I have to same the same thing. I started with just the sport springs and stock shocks and was okay with it for a while. I just installed the Bilsteins this past weekend myself and I am in love with this car.You do not realize the difference until you make the switch. Night and day difference. This is by far the best suspension set upfor this car.Mass Bimmer , it is time , do the switch , you will understand why after you first ride,AMAZING!!!!!
