You'd think BB Fabs would fit better, those look horrible.

If you read his post closely, he says ex AR design employee.

I installed a set of them and also had the same fitment issues.

AR Design pipes fit like a glove. I had some issues with their early versions but it's since been resolved. I've installed Riss racing, macht schnells and UR pipes as well, and none came close to the fitment of ARs pipes. The last set of Macht pipes I installed mustve been a bad batch because they were so far off ite caused issues with getting the exhaust to line up right, no matter how much adjusting/rotating I did.

Woops looks like I missed that. I've also noticed the same on 2 recent sets of MS pipes. Went by design and bends.

They're not AR, they're BB Fab. I hope you get everything sorted out with the PLM DPs.

I had PLMs when I had a N54. Use the stock clamps at the turbos, rotate for fitment and you should be golden. Best value in downpipes!

what????? threw out the VBands?? they PLM V Bands should also allow for some adjustments. In the VK DIY, I think they say to lock them down and start the car before buttoning it up to make sure there was no rattling going on. I used a piece of wood to pry a few CM's in between my pipes and the frame and then locked them down. I have AR pipes and I don't think I could have made them touch or rattle on anything if I tried. Thats what I call perfect fitment. Good luck and glad to see you saved some coin and found a place to install for a reasonable price. Sounds like they will take care of you and it shouldn't be hard to make the adjustment. Hopefully you won't need to switch bolts out to keep them from rattling. I took one of those bolts out for the same reason when i had bought my first set of pipes ( BB). They didn't even come close to fitting and I was trying everything. I took one of the bolts out and had an oil leak after that.. Andrew hooked me up with some pipes that fit after hearing what happened to me. I will go to bat for AR anytime.

Ive installed cpe downpipes, ar downpipes, plm downpipes.....trust me when I say, you have no clue what your are talking about. The issues isnt even plausible with other downpipes? Install a set yourself, then speak?

Currently on my car, plm downpipes, that fit perfect. The shop that installed his pipes, messed up, simple as that.

I am just wondering people that have PLM DPs, are you guys using those clamps that comes with the DPs? I saw those pipes in person and those clamps look cheap as hell and I would rather use the OEM then those! How the hell do you even get the PLM ones tight enough since it doesn't even have a bolt and looks like it tightens with your fingers!

The consensus is to throw away the wing nut clamps it comes with and re use the stock clamps.
Mine are on the truck for delivery tomorrow!
