Is it hard to DIY? I am not a handy person so..

If you're not very good with tools, then I'd say it's going to be fairly difficult for you to do. Besides taking the 3 series knob to a machine shop to be milled, you are going to need to do some grinding with a Dremel and bind everything together with Epoxy.

The knob is amazing, I have mine too. Logan truly did a great job with this.
