Downpipes and FMIC for 335i

The downpipes only gained 15whp and 15wtq? That seems low, but you all are obviously doing something right to get the car to 400whp and 428wtq on 92oct. Cant wait to see the products!

so if i get downpipes with high flow cats, it will be street legal?

will it void warranty?

Yes, it will void your warranty along with any other mods you put on your car. You have never heard that before?

Warranties are classified in "systems". For instance; adding coilovers voids your warranty of suspension parts. Downpipes are so near the turbos that they will probably void the warranty of engine related parts, although I view them as part of the exhaust system.

Yup - in the end it really just comes down to your dealer/SA - start kissing up now...

I think that downpipes add a bigger difference for casual drivers both because of the power bump and because of the sound.... but the biggest difference with any mod will be due to your ability to go with a more aggressive tune

I did the FMIC first. In addition to performance I wanted a cooler intake charge to reduce engine stress and lower pressure drop to reduce turbo stress. I picked cp-e for value (great price on a combo with a second oil cooler) and based on this excellent analysis.

I have the same one - very happy with it and I love the idea of additional oil cooling - great bonus!
