Do you think there is a way to get into a "dyno mode" like we have on the 55's? Seems like there has to be one? How do they smog them if not, using the rollers? My S4 does the same thing, try to bring it up on the stall and it goes into limp mode.Just pulls everything away from the throttle.Makes it hard for decent launches. You going the same route with mods as the 55 has? If so,you might have the fastest 335i as well! |

I am hoping it has a dyno mode like the e55. Is there a way to bypass it on the S4. One of my friends has a small nos shot on a 335i already so he beat me to it. We should be at the track with it on friday. |

No such luck on the S4,but then again I didnt try to get too research it much. I bet there is a way to have the torque limit taken out when the ecu program is done.Limit out,LSD,ecu tune and a good set of DR's and things could get ugly.I think parts are going to start breaking as it is already.Stub axles and trannys is my first guess? How did the NOS 335i run? Have they let you back on the track after your 55 run?Or is there still a poster of your mug at the gate! LOL |

I agree the drive-train will be the first to go. They are still working on the ecu so i still have hope. The nos 335i feels good on the street so we will see what it runs at the track. I think Friday looks good. They did not recognize me in the 335i last week so things are looking good. . |

I think the MT cars will start breaking clutches and trannies when they start getting the power to the ground. Did your NOS buddy check egt's or afrs on his car or is he going to just run it? |

Yeah we put a wide-band sniffer to test. Welded a bung next to the primary O2's. It runs at a steady 11.5 to 11.8 on the street. They run pretty aggressive afr's stock, probably an advantage of the direct injection. |

Put E63 tags on it,they'll never think twice! Im gonna put a wide band on the E55 when it goes for its mod dyno run, just to see whats happening under there. Also need to get with Vrus on his ecu tune deal. You get DR's for the BMW yet? |

Thank God we are safe from the E63 Police here. You will not be disappointed. I'm using the one's off 305-e55 car, his car is at the dealer for warranty work so i borrowed them . The car looks tuff with 275/35 bfg 18's on the back. |

Thanks man
You seem pretty knowledgeable about drag racing. I look forward to seeing some more of your results from future track outings. Feel free to post them here as there are a lot of members who are interested in the 1/4. I was hoping to see a stock 335i break into the 12.9s on DRs. I think that may be possible if the BMW electronic nanny can be overridden so you can launch more aggressively. |
