The emblem in our 07 wagon looks like it's corroding underneath the top layer, while my 07 coupe looks fine. They wouldn't replace it either. The funny thing is that my 95 325 that sits outside all day and night has a pristine airbag emblem. Makes sense, huh?

Bought that
All,
I had previously believed that you had to buy the whole unit, or so I was told by BMW. Thanks to lemmegetatthat. I bought the unit and it is being shipped out right now. $170 CDN all charges in. I will let this thread know how it goes when it gets in from Sweden. Kev in YVR Quote:

kevina2, lemmegetatthat, or anyone else for that matter, do you happen to know the part # for this air bag cover? I want to show it to the dealer, as opposed to having them fix it using the entire air bag assembly, if possible.

I just bought a brand new airbag for my car and don't know how to take out the blown airbag or how to replace it with the new. Do I have to get this done by a professional or is it possible to do it myself?
