Costs for kits

For all to know, we will meet and beat the cost of the BMW kits when comparing like kits with the same types of coverage. I would say that we can even provide more for less. Please feel free to PM us with your exact kit questions.

Approx how much does it cost to have Stongard professionally applied? I assume the $600plus quoted is only for the kits and does not include application?

Also, I've heard Zaino referred to in other threads. If that or other similar products are used on the vehicle would there be lack of consistency in appearance (ie. shine, fade, etc) between the areas protected by Stongard and areas that aren't?
Can anyone shed some light on this?

I paid about $200 last July for the full E46 kit installed (2.5 hrs labor).
This was the BMW version available in the accessories catalog, made by X-Pel.

Thanks for responding Azn and Rich. So the whole process is bit of an expensive proposition, but probably well worth it. You both have this done fairly recently so unlikely there's been any difference in appearance between the protected and unprotected areas of your vehicle. Have you applied to previous vehicles or heard anything regarding appearance consistency a few years after application? Thanks again.

I asked and they quoted me $1000-3000 depending on what I want. The 1000 includes the entire front end (customized to give full coverage) and rear end. $3000 covers the entire car (any painted area). Xpel dealer.

for 500 that included installing the whole front bumper, hood, headlights, foglights, mirrors and part of teh fender. I works VERY well! I took my car to Vegas last weekend and not scratch on the car. I would recommended this to anyone that wants to keep their car in top conditions. Its the best 500 that I ever spent on a CAR....I never had it on my other car...I wish I did though. If you are in the SoCal area...and want more info on it PM me and i'll set you up!...I'll post pics of my car when I get my digital camera back.....

Has anyone had the stoneguard applied to E90 jet black hood surface? If so, can you give me your thoughts and post a picture if you've got one?

I'm interested in the application to the bumper, fog lights, hood, fender flares and mirror surfaces. I just want to get some feedback if it is out there.

Thanks.

Is Autogardusa in Bellevue out of business? They don't answer the phone, and there is a business called Town and Country-something-or-other at their address now... Sure like to do my car, but I am not ready to tackle this job myself.

Anyone know what happened to them?

This stuff is the shiznit. I can't recommend a clear bra highly enough. I have it on my R32 since new (now at 31k miles), here in the Phoenix area, which is one of THE most brutal places for rock and debris damage. My front end is pristine and you have to get RIGHT up to it to even know anything is on it. Cost was $400 installed VERY professionally. My E90 will get the same treatment before it ever leaves the lot. I'm a major advocate of this product!

So, if this product is on your car, and you wax/polish it, do you notice it more? Also, can you put wax/polish on the clear bra and not have it rub off after running a polisher over it?

Autogard/Stongard in Bellevue went out of business as far as I know even though there is half a web site still up with seemingly recent content on it.

I hear Accutint is another place in the area that will do the job.

I never got this product on my car but to be honest I regret it. After 6 months I have several tiny chips in my paint along the front facia as well as behind the front wheel and a sideview mirror.

You do wax over it just like normal painted surface.. never used a machine polisher on it so I can't comment on that, but by hand it looks great.

Here's a shot of the front of my car. See it? Me neither! If you look REALLY hard just below the and to the left of the headlight where it meets the bumper, you can see a line where it ends. GREAT stuff!
