Used fmic/ used meth kit that's your way out =] , can't really say fmic because meth adds a lot of power and it's really awesome , but at the same time at high boost levels stock fmic heat soaks but honestly , HONESTLY I've never seen high IAT when using meth with out fmic, but fmic sure does help a lot, less pressure drop, meth is really not hard to maintain if you get the rigth setup, go with snow performance and you'll be good. I say METH if you have to choose between 2 , but if you want to go step by step in the rigth direction , it should be fmic 1st , and then meth =]

I did FMIC first, but if I were to do it again I would have done the meth. The FMIC basically takes the car and eliminates that sluggish feeling that comes with summer driving. I noticed a bit more power, especially in the top end. With meth, I noticed the power immediately, and I REALLY like the fact that my car, even with 40k miles without a catch can, will have its intake valves cleaned every time I hit the gas. In my eyes, meth will pay for itself over the next 50k miles simply because I won't ever have to get the valves cleaned.

Meth would be the best HP/Dollar and far surpass the cooling of an FMIC.
Not to say an FMIC wont help, but the methanol when done will go a lot farther for cooling and power. I stand by the choice of meth first. FMIC shortly after. Last edited by Jeff@TopGearSolutions; 02-04-2011 at 12:10 PM.. |
