My interior led kit from e92-lighting, the front dome light goes out randomly sometimes, it works when i unlock car or open the door, but if i press the button only the back one turns on, any solution to this?

I had this problem too. Mine would actually go out after a minute of it being turned on. I emailed e92-lighting and they told me to replace it with one of the map light bulbs and it'd fix all my problems...

Emailed them back asking why that'd even be an option considering it won't compare to the 12 array led that was part of the KIT. Never got a reply.

So I took it out, realigned the metal wires and put it back in. Although I haven't thoroughly tested to see if that actually fixed it.

I got this issue as well. Just reseat the connection and it will work fine. It's basically all about the metal contacts, from what I have seen.

Those panels are to big for the space they need to go in. I wound up using the 5 panel LED bulbs in the center domes. I screwed with those panels for an hour and could not get them to light up. When I did get the front to work it went out after a few mins. Finally I tried to fit them into the dome area and it looked like chit. For 84.00 bucks I am disappointed. I am now 2 -5 panel LED bulbs short. I went on chat with E92 lighting since they could not find the time to enclose a cheat sheet to let you know exact placement of each bulb. After 3 msgs back and forth, I was told it's self explanatory. I spent 240.00 bucks on my fist purchase with these guys and it looks like it will be my last.

it was hard to get the panels to light, but like everyone says it all about making the sure the contacts are good. The front left dome bulb took me the longest. I agree that the kit should come with some sort on instructions or at least the link to the instructions on the website. and yes the 12 led panel is to big to fit and it touches the frosted plastic, im just worrying if it might melt it.

all instructions are on website, the canbus T10 leds are for the front and rear dome lights, the 12-LED panel goes in the center dome. the 5 sided leds are for the ground lighting, such as under the pedals and led courtesy lamps.

the 12 led ones are definitely a snug fit, but use the double sided tape that comes on the back of them to stick the "slack" from the rest of the wires to it, then light it up just right and apply a little bit of even pressure to it, the frosted glass shouldn't impede on it anymore.

+1. all the 12 led-panels have 3M tape already pre-attached on the whole panel

here is the data sheet where everything goes.

1) 12-LED panels (front and rear center dome)
2) 2 sided T10 canbus error free bulbs (front and rear map lights)
3) 5 sided T10 bulbs (all ground lighting, under the pedals, under the doors)
4) leftover festoon bulbs (vanity mirror, trunk, glove compartment) however led license plate leds are extra and not included with the led interior kit

Well, while I am happy to have no error codes, I still think the 12 LED panels could have been made smaller to fit into the dome area better. There should have been instructions enclosed as well since I don't think I should have to look up the install procedure online. It seems to me that enclosing a diagram or cheat sheet would be no big deal. Bottom line for me, I don't need to go to the chat line to ask a question just to be told, "It's self explanatory". If that were the case I guess I wouldn't have had to ask. I still have the 5 panel LED's in the domes because the panels do not fit the way I think they should. For 84.00 dollars I am not at all happy, since I am now short 2- 5 panel LED's and I have 2-12 LED panels that I won't jam into the dome. But then again since none of my concerns were addressed by E92 here or when I used their chat feature, I will just chalk it off as a lesson learned.

ive considered getting an led interior kit but it seems i always come accross stories of the lights flickering, not fading out properly, throwing error codes, ect..seems like it could be a pain to deal with. its too bad, they looked good.

its just a matter of making sure your connections are good....it takes a bit of time and patience to get it all connected right, but the end results are worth it

For you guys that installed interior LEDs, do you ever think they are TOO bright? From the pictures sometimes I feel they are overpowering. What are your thoughts? I was thinking about just getting the white filament bulbs from jlevi, but wanted your input

i dont feel these are TOO bright, unless 1. youre driving and a passenger needs the dome lights on, then it gets a bit much, or 2. your staring directly into the dome lights (12 led domes).

the lights typically aren't ever on other than when i unlock my car, at that point it glows brighter than a mofo in a pitch dark parking lot, looks awesome
