besides the near impossibility of spinning the tires in an all wheel drive, isn't the general reaction to someone spinning tires laughing and thinking what a tool the driver is?

I'm not sure I understand the question here...

After turning off the traction control all together it's not too difficult to get some degree of wheel spin

Unless I'm not understanding the question, this is feasible even in a stock vehicle.

... I thought about the procede, jb, etc. at the end of the day, if you're not spotting me the 60k to replace my car, i don't care if you created the company. I did my research and went with what I had a tolerance for in terms of risk/benefit.

I don't want to start a tuner war, I just find who you made the statement to funny. I'll let him chime in if he wants to explain.

so you are claiming you are putting 380/400 to the wheels with dinan stage 2? I want to see the dyno. Stg 1 puts down 300. you are probably putting 330-340 down.

no- never claimed it was to the wheels. but, that is the gain with the stage 2.

yeah- I'm not here for war either. everyone will always defend what they have, etc. are there better tunes out there for the price... well, it depends on if 'price' includes liability for replacing parts when bmw catches you with a mod.

Your not making the same power as anyone with procede, especially with upgraded turbos like jpsimon and methanol injection who is also Xi and probably the closest to remotely spinning 2nd, which I doubt he does on clean dry pavement.

Even without the turbos and methanol you will still be shy on power. Dont believe us? You said your did your research....

There's your problem

Its an Xi, most awd cars maybe chirp second at best, which is a little aggressive on the drivetrain regardless so your better off where you stand.

If you want to spin your tires, you should have bought a RWD car. 300hp isnt going to cut it with AWD

I can see the future threads from this guy. BMW SUCKS CAUSE THEY WONT WARRANTY MY CLUTCH CAUSE I TRIED DROPPING THE CLUTCH @ 6500 RPMS. Or Why is my transfer case making noises?

Tough crowd.

I drove an xi for the first time
Stock and I must say I was disappointed. The extra weight slowed me down a bit over the rear wheel drive but from a traction stand point it was amazing. Chirps in second when I dump the clutch. I once thought that it made sense to go xi instead of LSD
