Anyone with 6NR start production yet?

According to BMW's website and 800#, my car is currently in production and scheduled to be completed on March 1. My car has 6NR on it.

According to my CA, my car is in 150 status, but, not scheduled to actually go into production until next Tuesday (March 1), which is actually week 9.

All I know is that my window sticker and vehicle inquiry have 6NR on them and my CA said my car will not be produced without it.

Not sure if this helps or not, but sometime between today and next Tuesday they will start producing vehicles with 6NR!

Pretty sure 6NR will begin production officially week of 2/28, week 9. Technically, that means cars before that would not have it, but new features have purportedly made it on to cars a little earlier before.

Where do you get (800) # from? I ordered my car on 2/12 and only have a production #. I don't see any phone number to call to check on the status. Is that where you find out what production week you are scheduled for? I told my CA to add the 6NR but I don't want it that bad to delay production.

Your CA is an idiot, and I'm not using this word loosely. Anybody with the level of OEM information available as a CA should not be this ignorant, much less making completely incorrect statements to customers.

Thank you! I don't know how i didn't know about that #, but that just made my day, the guy told me my production week and i'm beyond excited now haha, so thanks again! Can't believe my CA can't give me that kind of info.

You're right, I'm a week off! Week 10 doesn't start until March 7th!!...

I just need to keep telling myself that another week in the grand scheme of things not a big deal.

I am week 10 also. Our cars should go into 150 status early next week.

This is what my CA said too.

However from this thread I was gathered that week 10 production meant it started on week 10 (March 7th).

The car will probably be completed by mid week - generally the production week refers to week it will be completed. It will be a rough few weeks ahead.

My CA just told me that those with the 6NR option will have their production week delayed due to software issues and that they will not start producing the 6nr option next week.

That is a bit hard to believe. That would effect virtually every model BMW makes (except the X ) and I suspect a large majority of all of them. Also, the VPC centers do software flashes as part of the process at the port and that would give them weeks for these early cars to get there.

Yea I don't know, if not then he just lagged on adding it for me until he noticed it was too late since I was at 150 now. Good luck to those who have the option!

Just called, no confirmed production date yet. I'm going to check every morning now! This is going to kill me knowing we have the same week!

Ksoze - I called this morning and my car is in production.

Are you taking delivery on the west coast. It could be you and I on the same shipment
