I am just glad someone else agrees with me. Everyone that I know that still listens to rap loves him like he is a god. He has nothing on the real kings of the genre. I still love listening to biggie, big L, the lox, etc.

Wayne is the most popular because of his many different types of flow and his extreme lack of censorship. He gets away with saying shit that makes 2livecrew look like the backstreet boys.
He is good at commercial hip hop, but by far he is not the most talented.

Wayne has delivery. That's it. He also has commercial appeal. He is featured on everyone's shit. He has super innovative punchlines. He is Weezy. Weezy F. Baby. Please say the Baby, or your bitch will.

Wow that was crazy. He made a fool out of himself. I was never a huge fan of him nor T Pain with his 24/7 autotune voice.

Am I the only one that see Eminem only good battle rapper? There are so many more rappers that more lyrical than he is is. I mean don't get me wrong the man has talent but, he is not the greatest alive.

Who's better than him (song-wise). Not a challenge, just wondering what you think. He strings together intimate concepts in an I-could-care-less-what-you-think-fuck-you way, and the technical aspects of his flow are immaculate. Of course, rappers like Blu and Kendrick Lamar may not be as mechanical with the delivery, but their song-writing abilities may be more raw.

I think it's more about what he did for the industry.
He's got a great (overplayed) story, he's one of the only white musicians to make it in rap, and he's got a great presence and lots of exposure - he's just intense. I can listen to Jay-Z, Weezy, T.I. and Dre for hours. Eminem I need in doses. It starts getting a little monotonous. I honestly prefer the tunes in which he's the 2nd feature. He's way more impactful then. Last night, though, fucking ridiculous performance and great year all around for the guy.

So there is a huge-ass circlejerk on Reddit about this fucking Arcade Fire band.
The first time i ever heard their name was this past Saturday night, when I was out for dinner with my GF and she used Shazam to look up the name of the song that was playing, because she knew all the words for it, but could not remember the name. It was Arcade Fire. I did not have a slightest idea what the fuck they were, but I guess because I don't listen to that shit, so whatever. Next day they get a Grammy. What. The. Fuck. You'd think that if the band gets a damn Grammy, it would be big enough that everyone would know about it. According to the shit I read, they have been around for-fucking-ever, they are the founding fathers of the United States, they also discovered America (North AND South), were the first men in space, cured AIDS, Cancer, Mad Cow Disease and are also responsible for world peace. What the fuck. But apparently I am not the only ignorant person out there. http://whoisarcadefire.tumblr.com/ How many people here on this forum heard of this "famous" band? Oh, and that stage performance with BMX bikers and flashing lights was the worst thing I have ever seen or heard.... and i've heard and seen alot of lame shit...

this will depend from person to person, since its the anniversary of his death and he is my personal fav, Big L. Compared to others he has so lil material but it was all so good, who knows what he would have done if he wouldnt have been killed

I know man. Its a shame how so many careers get cut short by death. But I'm glad you don't listen to mainstream shit, there's less substance in it now than ever before. I stick to Nas and OG Hov, like Reasonable Doubt and Illmatic. I may blast an occasional Gucci Mane song with the windows down to disturb the peace, though.
