so mixed reviews for v power then - mine certainly doesn't seem to like it mpg wise.
I put a bottle of Forte diesel treatment in this week - I've seen good things about it on here and know that my local SEAT garage use it and rate it. I never know whether its psychological or not but the engine seems to be a bit smoother and pulls better from low down - it spun its wheels in 3rd today (in the wet!) |

A friend of mine used to work in fuel distribution - the company he worked for supplied a lot of supermarket fuel (mostly to a supermarket that since then has gone over to BP supply).
The actual chemical composition of fuel varies massively - it is blended from all sorts of different chemicals like Toluene and while it must meet the minimum standards some shipments may we well over them and the exact chemical make-up of the stuff will never be the same. Especially with diesel which needs a different make-up in the winter. When he had this job (handful of years ago) all the fuel companies were using the same storage facilities (in SE England) - so basically all the trucks with different badging turned up to the same tank and downloaded the same stuff. Some of them had the drivers add additives in the tanker. I have since been told that V Power has a different chemical composition and is kept separate but I have no way of verifying that... But it seems very likely that the fuel you put in your car can be very different in actual composition wherever you buy it from. |

Using V power religiously for the past 12 months I average between 400-450 per tank and I fill top to bottom. I drive 60% town, 40% motorway and do around 30 miles per day driving 'normally' meaning I neither baby it nor thrash it but I've tried to baby it and MPG didn't change.
I personally think thats shocking for a 2.0 diesel. |

I get an indicated range of 450-500+ from a 330i estate except when really on it... Must be something wrong with this 320d surely...
