I'd say reps have come a long way. The stuff you might find in canal st is nothing compared to some of the better reps.

I got curious about reps a couple of years back but never pulled the trigger. Basically any half decent replica will cost you from 300 to thousands. The good ones are usually so close to the real thing at the parts are actually interchangeable. Do your research. http://www.rwgforum.com/ is a good resource.

Thats because the ones they have hangin on the shelves are shit. You need to show up with model #s and photos. You need to talk to the guy in the back and tell him exactly what you want. A few phonecalls and a couple hours later and you'll have a $300 rep thats impeccable.

Meh, that's subjective. I personally don't care what other people think, if it looks good then who cares. For $85 you can't go wrong for an everyday 'beater' watch.

And at least you know you're getting a watch with a brand reputation instead of some replica Rolex wannabe made in china or taiwan.

but then if you don't care what people think about it, why not buy a watch with it's own design instead of an obvious knockoff? you could get a fossil or something like that. a fake is a fake

The general consensus amongst most of the watch enthusiasts I've talked to both on and off of forums is that Invicta 8926c's are generally a good thing. Definitely good value for money, and they work well as an everyday watch. I'd go with a more conservative color scheme though, like this:

I totally agree, but the OP asked for Rolex reps so that's what came to my mind.

But still a fake rolex is gay.
I don't understand what you're trying to say here?
what makes you think the OP isn't in a similar situation? Depending on your line of work, a watch can take some serious damage, and a rolex can also be a prime object to have stolen....

So you guys would condone a 328i driver putting an m3 badge on their car because they want the status and prestige, but don't want to deal with the poor mileage of a real m3 because they drive it daily. Would this situtation be ok?

Its not gay. Get over it.

Most people who spend thousands on reps have genuines as well. Some buy reps to work on as a hobby, some wear them to save their gens abuse. It usually has less to do with status.

Granted, you should only wear it if you can pull it off, otherwise you end up looking like a douche.

Would an irreputable Rolex replica dealer actually send you a real one instead of a fake?

If the Chinese can make a replica M3 that looks and performs 90% like the real deal but 10% the cost... I'd be interested.
