Maybe it was only available in 2010 when they still had the N54? I want to say it was available in 2009 as well ... probably just extremely rare

As of 2011 the paddle shifters in steptronic cars got changed so they match the DCT style + on one and - on the other. I just picked my msport 335d on Monday and it has the new style on them. I believe sport package has the same change as well. Not sure when the change was made though. My friend's 2010 335d has the old style paddles.
Btw 335is in the US also has the DCT as an option.
