Hi and thanks for all the information about the LED upgrade!
Do you know if the 2011 Halogen LCI headlights is brighter than the older version? My AE seems to be very bright at night and has a even white-ish colour. But at daylight there is a weak light tho ![]() |

LED's will barely show during the day. My $300 PIAA LED Angel's on my 335 were invisible during the day but PERFECT at night.

Yes, I agree. These are pretty bright but I believe the stock 11's are a great improvemnet over the stock 09's that I had but I am not sure.

It is so easy, takes no time at all and well worth it.

My headlight is not so yellow as Ive seen before. Mine is whiter from stock. I´ll try to take a photo to compare with some older ones.
I believe the LED will make an improvement at daytime at not so much at night. |

Yes, did it through the coding thread, not the OBC, and I did make my AE's as DRL instead of the highbeams.

Well from what I can see they do look a lot brighter then the 7000k LED's I installed. I can only assume the angel ring inside is a different design.

Hmm... I dunno! Maybe Hella sell spare bulbs too. But I recon it is not LED because of the poor daylight output. I think my mobile camera is very bad so it looks like the AE is very bright!

ended up getting the 6W bulb that e92 Lighting sells. It looks good but really would like a bulb that can light it up brighter and more full. also swapped out the H7 bulbs with some 4,350K, looks good too.

I believe the bulbs that E92 Lighting are the same as I listed. They are listed as 6W bulbs, but that is combined, they are actaully 3W each and that is part of the reason they are not super bright. The other reason is the AE rings in the halo assembly is not the same as the Xexon ones. I believe, but don't quote me, that the Xexon AE have refective lenses in them and they also have a larger opening that gives them that bigger, brighter look. The ones available via E92 Lighting and the ones I listed are a vast improvement over the stock Valeo bulbs and for that reason it was well worth it.

Does any body get the same effect using the LED bulbs, people always said it looks cool, but just wondering if this has any ill effects on the car or lights. |
