It sounds like there are 4 of us on here, anxiously awaiting our rides. I sure hope they make it through the VPC quickly. I really want to pick up my car on the 29th. I'm picking up from Steve Thomas BMW so it's just a stones throw from Port Huemene. If it doesn't make it there in time then I'll have to wait until 5/13. That will be two painful weeks knowing the car is just sitting there waiting.

I like it!

Does anyone know if the VPC operates on weekends. I think I read somewhere that it is closed on weekends.

Okay, I should have searched first. It sounds like it is closed on weekends unless there are a lot of priority 1 cars.

I know mine is a priority one, hopefully you guys are too. I'm tired of waiting, and now I won't be able to track it anymore

I don't know how European Delivery cars are considered, priority one cars or not. Either way as long as it's on the soil soon I know I will get it soon. 2.5 more hours!!!

I think a lot of the people on this thread have ordered new cars, so they will be sent to the VPC and then shipped to the dealers. My car, given it is a European Delivery car, will likely go to customs with your car, before being released to VPC, and yours directly to you...

I live in Seattle, but I'm purchasing through a dealership in California. If the car arrives at the dealership by COB Wednesday then I'm going to fly down on Friday the 29th and pick it up and drive it back to Seattle.

I hope you get your car Wednesday and welcome back to the states!

Nice! I'm contemplating doing that drive in July in the 335d but can't decide for sure. You going to try to do it all in one shot? It's a 10-12 hour drive isn't it? Well from the bay area at least. Which dealer did you go through to get your car?

I'm purchasing the car through Ryan Amico at Steve Thomas BMW. They are located just a stones throw from Oxnard. I'm going to take three days to drive to Seattle. I'll fly down on a Friday morning, take delivery, and then head north arriving in Seattle on Sunday. I sure hope it happens this Friday. If it doesn't then I won't have time to fly down there until May 13th.

I'm planning to drive up the coast. According to Google maps the route I'm planning is 1,228miles and 22 hours.

July would be an excellent time to make the drive. If you have the time you should do it and consider taking Hwy 101. Not only is the drive beautiful, but the roads are more interesting than I-5.

Nice, I agree highway 101 & 1 is more interesting, given highway 5 is kind of boring up through the central ca area.. Only problem it would be during july 4th weekend so don't know how much traffic I'll hit. . (I'll be up in seattle for a week or two, so considering driving so I can have my car instead of some cheap rental for a week.)

Has anyone checked what the 800 number says for their status? Mine still says In Transit. Hopefully it just hasn't updated yet and they didn't leave my car on the boat

Better than mine! When I call into the phone # it says "Your car was released for delivery. It is waiting for transportation to the port of exit."

Online it is "En Route" still.

When I check the shipping company and use my vin, it does show that it was taken off the boat. "Discharged."
