his actually looks really good IMO

much better than the really dark picture

IMO, if the tint is too dark, then it starts to look ghetto...unless the windshield is done etc and it flows well with the car (usually a white car... or a car being blacked out)

50% for me is too light... but I rather have 50 than 15

Also, it depends on which kind of film and material is used

My tint is 30%, but it looks dark when people see it.
I'm assuming cause it's ceramic? along with my windshield being 60% and blocking more light from going in...

Your tint looks much darker than 30%.

Yeah but it is

I have the same tint on the Z4

If my top is open, the tint isn't dark as a lot of light is let in

but due to the windshield being tinted, it makes it look really dark

Best part is when I'm inside, it's not too dark, I can see outside without an issue.

My cousin has 15% (nothing on windshield) and I need to pull his windows down in order to see outside at night; not safe at all

Thats cuz you live in CA and the cops there will ticket an infant for drooling on the sidewalk.

I have 20% on everything but the windshield. With my wagen I have a full roof of class. On really sunny days in can look very light but on slightly overcast days in starts looking darker. I too have had several variations of tint %, 20% is my favorite.

You guys know that the pictures you're whoring doesn't mean shit; all the tint's have been looking the same.

OP you need to physically see / sit in a car with the preferred tint.

They all look nice tho

30% (looks dark)

30% on front (looks light)

Point proven. Stop whoring.

Yup you're right

The darkness depends on the light, position, angle, windshield, type of tint, etc etc

He's right. Seeing it in person really does change it a lot.

Exactly. That's why I posted multiple pics to help show the variation.

just dropped in on this thread.

i also think this is bogus. good quality films give good results no matter what shade (darkness) you get. front and rear should be the same shade to look good. but anything more than 35% is hideous IMO

here is mine 35%

Yeah I was thinking either 35% or 30% all around. Either that or 20% in the back and 30% or 35% in the front windows.
