hmm, what legal action do you take? I have had two replaced, one at 2k and one at 29k. What do you do?

But the GT500 seems like a good choice?

Wow, that is an awful ownership experience. You must really enjoy the car to put up with all of that...I dumped an Audi for a fraction of the headache.
If you are a 1320 kind of guy the gt500 is a great car--reliable 11 second car with few mods. If you want to take the car on a road course or drive at 9/10ths on "fun" roads, then I'd go with the new 5.0. I've driven both instructing at HPDEvents and the GT is much more balanced and enjoyable in turns and transitions, IMO. The gt500 is a rocket down the straights, but you will really feel that weight when you turn. My ideal would be a foul weather beater and a used C6 GS or a C5 Z06 (less $); the new 5.0 is the winner if I want to compete in near-stock race classes and maintain a warranty.

Can't blame ya, I don't get how people have such shitty luck with pumps I'm still on my first one at almost 47k and I haven't had the slightest problem(knock on wood). Plus, those new mustangs are some good looking pieces of machinery.

So you're saying since my first pump failed at only 1300 miles, I have a chance of winning?

For all those wondering, simply read up your state laws and get lawyer. I called bmw first, they pretty much told me f off. Then I had my lawyer call and they were out 4 digits writting a check to me a month later. However I had alot more then a fuel pump go wrong with this car. |

Theres a big difference when you modifiy both cars. Either way the gt500 would be used if I look for one. Simply put, a corvette is not a daily driver, while a mustang is as much of a daily on my current car.

Personally, I would not bring it in. Recalls dont go away, when/if the current pump breaks, then bring it in.

Clap - my previous recommendation of a C63 still stands Trap 120 with just a tune, no meth or other nonsense bullshit mods we N54 guys need to go fast.

Something breaks on the c63 and its not different then this car. Something breaks on a mustang, its cheap and available almost anywhere. |

Sprayed IS-F will trap 125 no other mods, still Toyota reliability and the new one is damn good around a track. Hey, if something breaks... it's still a Toyota and should be relatively cheap to fix, it's a Japanese built 5.0 V8 which should be bulletproof...

Ugh, sorry to hear about this. Sounds like you've had awful luck with this car.
The new 5.0 looks to be a great engine and that car will have a huge aftermarket for sure. |

If you aren't getting any other codes with it, you don't have any reason to worry (yet).

I just got a 446 pump as well when I took my car in for recall. So not looking forward to it failing. Sorry to hear about your issues. Good luck.

New Boss 302 would be my choice. Nothing like a high revving V8. No rear seats though, and not a daily driver.
I miss my 94 5.0 Cobra. Reliable, cheap parts, and easy to mod. |
