than 9 more days after that and its at the port, the port is about and hour away from the dealer and the dealer is about 2 min away from where I live. I cant waitt..

Lucky! My dealer is more than 1,100 miles away from the port!!! Who knows how much longer I'll have to wait!

I just found out I'm on there with you guys!!! Woo hoo, go little boat go!!!!
Funny my CA said the exact same thing about my car going overboard. Something about ED's on the top and one good wave....
He also said that it should only be at the VPC for 3-5 days and then they will repair my scratch in the hood. I'm hoping maybe mid-week around 4/18?
I'm sooo excited, my baby's coming home!

Welcome aboard!, im just hoping to get my car before the 20th.. atleast you got to drive yours on ED, i havnt even test drove a 6MT the one i test drove when i orderd the car was auto. I cant waittt..

Glad to see my car is in good company for the boat ride. AW335TT you will love the 6MT. I test drove both. The step is fine, and I could have lived with it... I guess. But manual is the way to go.

Well since my E90 has to go all the way to Colorado, I hope they prep it first off the boat. You guys can wait! Mine has a long trip ahead of it!

Bartman, how was ED? My wife wanted to do that.... next time!

ED is AWESOME!!! Next time you got to try it. You pick it up at the factory. Soon they will have a new place where you can tour etc when you pick up. I'll have to do that next time. Driving in Europe was a blast too! You have to keep it under 4K RPM's but with 6 speeds that's not really a problem. It's great to drive it like it was meant to. The only downside is that after getting to drive and break in your baby you have to wait for what seems like FOREVER for it to get here. It's such a tease! Can't say enough about it. We went from Germany through Austria, to Italy, Monaco and dropped it in Nice France. What a BLAST!!!!! I'd be happy to answer any specific questions.

Sounds very cool. I have to admit I sort of wish I did ED! Problem is, it will probably be many years before I get another one. The wife wants an X5 but I'm thinking that's not quite the same to drive around Europe... I shoulda done it!

Would love to see some pics from your trip.

Can't do ED on X5 anyway. The US X5 is only produced in South Carolina. I think there are 2 cars you can't do ED on. X5 and I believe Z4.

I think you ED people are going through a lot more grief with the waiting. I mean, you already got to drive your car, fall in love with it, then someone ripped it out of your hands!!! That's GOT to be torture!!!

I'm following this thread because that boat also picked up a load of Mini Coopers in Southhampton prior to stopping for BMWs in Bremenhaven, and my Father-in-Law's "S" model is one of them...

Well I hope that by the beginning of April, the Oxnard VPC has cleared out the cars that came in at the beginning of March. My car has been there for 15 days! Many people who did ED are also experiencing the longest delays ever!

I agree about the ED. I've been without a car since begining of Jan when someone totaled my e46. It was a week after I put the down payment on the ED. Then I get to drive it and love it and just as it's almost broken in and I could see being able to open it up I have to leave it for 6-8 weeks.... This wait is EXTREMELY frusturating and I'm driving my wife crazy now too!

So close yet so far, its driving me crazzyy. Especialy since ive seen acouple of them around, i saw one at my school yesterday. Made me realy mad!! i hate seeing the cars i have or i am going to get i dont know why.
