Nearly impossible to get a completely accurate comparision of speed capabilities between 2 cars on a public road. Driver in front could be modulating the throttle, changing up earlier, etc.
I've seen a few near misses with drivers so keen to beat someone on the road they almost crash and take some crazy risks. Some seem to take being beaten as the biggest put down in life!! I rarely have a contest with anyone and only then it's after pulling alongside, eye-to-eye contact, hand signals and agreeing an acceleration run. ![]() |

I agree, but when it's arranged it's pretty obvious they are gunning it. As it is at the drag strip!

If your on here, 1. what was the point, your driving got you nowhere quicker, and 2. if you think you got one over on a 335d you are a very sad man, but if it helps your ego carry on. If i had planted it you would of embarrassed yourself infront of your girlfriend. I dont understand people who drive like a knob against a car that is clearly more powerful, if i see an M3 or anything more powerful i let them past and put the window down to hear the grunt! ![]() |

403 @wheels
Mate's dad had an rs4 with the mtm twin turbo set up. Now that was a quick rs4. Not sure what bhp it had but must have been 500+. He's got an m3 now and prefers it over the rs4. Agree most std rs4's seem down on power. Saw one make 25bhp off audi's claim at same rolling road i had my car done at. Still a nice quick car and on a wet road it'd get away from a 335i.......dry road its different story though ![]() |
