Same happened to me.

New cover was £12 from bmw parts in the cotswolds and a tin of LMB paint was £10.

Pulled the fuse labelled with a kind if washer jet symbol and never looked back. Cant remeber the fuse number but it was dead obvious from the user manual.

I would check the fuse number but im not back to my car until next week.

I think the fuse layout for the e92 or 335 is different and the washer fuse also controls something else.

I have noticed a quite a few of these missing from local 3 series cars.....I have also noticed that once and a while mine sits slightly proud after a skooshing.....may take it to the stealer and get it logged at least so that if it EVER disappears I have a record that it was not sitting right. Interesting about the concentration of the washer fluid.....how on earth can we possibly test that we keep ours within tolerance, does the manual give figures thereafter how is it possible to assure the correct concentration? Of course as temps fall the concentration will no doubt change.

Clearly a design flaw and BMW need to fix.

Fuse for headlights washer

The fuse for E90/91 is #43 and it is the only thing it supplies power to.

Sorry OP to hijack your thread!

Can't you just empty your washer bottle during a drive and then fill it up with the BMW stuff before you take it in to them? From your photo it looks like your jet has gone too and it seems that would make it an expensive fix.

Thanks for that. I'm going to take the fuse out as the headlight washers annoy me, spraying a mist all over the bonnet!!

There is a guy on eBay who if you give him your paint code, will supply replacement covers for 25 quid each, sure the user name was scooby something or other. Ordered mine, turned up a couple of days later. Paint match was quite good.

Great thread, and really topical for me with my recently acquired E93 Convertible.
Both covers went missing in a few days of each other !

This is exactly what's happened to mine...

I've got the painted covers, the springs and have bought the whole jet assembly. Is it a big job to replace ?

Garage List
2009 E92 335i  [8.50]
If nothing of the remaining plastic trim got broken..mine at one point got stuck open and the washer cover flew off while driving...just bought a replacement cover from eBay..snapped it back in place and pushed it back in the bumper washer hole gently...and it worked again...hope this helps OP.

It looks like it is fuse 48, however it is the same fuse for the windscreen washers :
