Dude, you have no idea. Yes, we looked at the data report. NO, nothing happened to it. It sat from 3/15 until 3/27 with NO MOVEMENT. Nada. Nothing.

Really excited. Like a kid getting a new toy. I've had an E46 for 5 years, so the interior has been basically the same--it's starting to show it's age, designwise (is that a word?); I'm looking forward to a "brand new car." Glad I got the '04 w/ aluminum dash-sportier--and put in the bluetooth module--missed that factory install by a month or two, just like the ipodUSB this time.

After all the spyshots of coupes then cabrios, speculating about it being a hardtop...seeing the car at the autoshow, but they wouldn't let me near it and the top was stuck midway up/down (preproduction car they said)....Irv said 4/2.........tracking the boat.....and obviously they held the cars at the VPC; nobody got an E93 until this week; all the dealers got the same demos. Can't tell you how pissed I was when I drove by last week and saw two E93's blue and bronze--I couldn't believe my car wasn't in cuz I knew I was in the first allocation--then I found out they were the demos and it made sense. That's when my "patience" set in; I've had some experiences recently that remind one how unimportant cars really are and knew it would be here soon, anyway. All over the local news today here is the funeral of a firefighter killed the other day in Chicago on the way to a fire that turned out to be a false alarm--the truck was hit by a schoolbus (driver didn't hear the siren or whatever). He was around my age and had young kids. Just think if he had an E93 on order--he never would have gotten it.

Just my $0.02; maybe $0.04. Just remember what's really important.
And, can't wait to see everyone's E93 pix!!!

That is a tragedy, to say the least. Yes, it was hard waiting. But I was being overly dramatic... just fooling around....

I truly realize what is important in life. As a matter of fact, I find it coincidental that I took ownership of my dream car 6 years to the day of my dad's death.

I have always though there is something with every 6 years. Every 6 years, my dad buys me my dream thing. When I was 10 on June, he bought me my dream four wheeler motorcycle (ATV). Six years later, June 2006, he buys me dream car, 2006 330i. I find it coincidential too.

I know we're all excited, yet grounded. These cars should be great.

I was thinking today that most folks don't even know that E93 is out and probably don't care either. Who knows if they even realize that Volvo, VW (Eos not bad looking; I was next to one Monday at *$ and wished I had my E93) & Pontiac have already released 4 seat hardtop convertibles.

I'm waiting for someone I know to comment to me that I no longer drive a convertible. Don't know what I'll say/do. May agree, make some comment and proceed to use CA to put the top down.

Hey, it's today (delivery day) now. I'm just finishing getting all the junk out of E46. I'm trying to resolve to not junk this one up (various CD's, menus...). I think I still have a box of stuff in the garage I took out of my 323 when I got my 330.

hello boys:

mine arrived on Monday... sans the iPod option (car was built on 2/5 and it just arrived). too bad i'm not taking delivery and ordered another one in mid-february with the 6FL. I'm screwed since they pushed the week 10 production to week 15, won't get mine until late May. I still think it's worth the way. In the meantime, a mate of mine at Google is going to buy the first one I ordered. Patience is a virtue, as they say - but I'm more than ready for summer driving weather.

I'd say something along the lines that you're in the process of cutting the roof up to make it into one, then trigger the roof through the fob in your pocket.

Abracadabra!

crewjock:
Thought about waiting for 6FL, but they said I could be pushed back to April or June. I think I would have waited for Comfort Access. That's what I get for putting down my deposit July 29, 2006. Anyway, I listen mostly to Sirius. I may go for the dealer ipod and just deal with the suboptimal menu; at least it will show on the nav screen and use the idrive knob for control. Initially I'll just use the aux port. Are you getting HD radio, too?

i love this forum, never found other guys who love cars as much as i do. i opted out for hd radio - didn't feel that it was necessary. i played with the comfort access feature and it's a must have for the cabrio. the only two things not on my vehicle are the hd radio, active cruise control and sirius (left the stubby antenna on the trunk), but can add later.

i would love to know if i can retrofit the first roof panel, assuming bmw offers a glass roof so that it can brighten up the interior?
