I been thinking of doing this as well with my new M3 bumper but only with the Mr 5 style. I didn't put the m3 ducts on so I have a hole on that side and a filter would fit perfectly in there and would be a true CAI. I'll put some pics up once I get the project done, but I still have to make the Mr 5 box.

I believe that most people running Mr. 5 Intakes bought another airbox used so they can go back to stock. (check the marketplace) That also keeps the car on the road when fabrication is in progress.
There is another inline filter kit that I recall seeing on e90post. I think it houses a cone filter. You will have to search. Your bumper looks great. Does the duct have one outlet to brakes and you just redirected it to the airbox? |

Sorry OT but how did you fit the m3 airducts on? Is it hard? Any DIY? I hate how the foglights look also.

Check Cuban's DIY on the M3 duct install. It did require some cutting and modifying to get them to fit.

It's real easy measure twice cut once theory. I tried running without the ducts but it was killing me looked like these two huge empty holes on my front end . When your ready pm me I'll walk you through it. As of now connecting the duct to my factory filter box still feels stronger then stock especially at 40+ mph. I've got to get some testing done next week when I'm off work to make sure it's not in my head.
