My car is an auto I have code 3 FMIC, don't know what you guys are talking about. Its at the front of the engine bay, I don't see how transmission type would make any difference.

Hey, I ran a knock off of a code 3. My version had pieced together pipes, welded in sections instead of steady pipe. I then switched to the ETS. I had trimmed the under tray according to the Spearco DIY and my xo2 fit like a glove. The ets went in behind it and looks like I wouldn't need to trim a thing, but even if I did do some trimming, its easy to do! Don't think of it as cutting a hole in your European sedan, but trimming a useless piece of plastic under your car that you won't ever miss and none will ever see. If i were going to the track, the spearco is a bit bigger and my temps were a tad bit lower with the xo2 than the ETS.
Now... the ets is in my car. Its easier to install as the pieces fit like a glove and all the clamps can be reached when you go to fasten them. The xo2 and the spearco will take some contortion, and some elbow linked sockets to get them secure. The ets is about 1/2 as heavy as the xo2. The code 3 should be lighter than my all steel knock off. I know nothing about the new 7 inch core ETS. I have a feeling that the efficiency technology they used in the 5 inch core should make this unit cool better then most of the same size competition. But thats just a guess???

I liked them both, you can't make a wrong decision if you go with one of those.

It all depends on who is installing even a perfect stock piece can have issues. My code 3 was installed by Sniz and Clem, no issues at all. Those guys know what they were doing. Downpipes by Land Rover performance shop, no issues and they loved my car. Quaife installed by ATS Motor sports. Do your research on installer and you will be fine.
