I know HighPerformanceBulbs.com has had a very good track record with early build E90s. No vendor can claim 100% error free on every single vehicle (if they do they're probably lying) but HPB seems to have a pretty high success rate when you throw in inline error canceller on top of their "canbus" ballast. Give Jeff@TopGearSolutions a PM, he's liaisons for HPB.

So this one is for if my e90 has pre LCI halogens, correct? http://img30.imageshack.us/img30/1647/mg1216.jpg Mine has these.

Since it's "plug and play" there doesn't need to be any conversion done, right?

What's this canceller?

You are correct, you have Pre-LCI halogens. Now, these error canceller are a workaround necessary on "Canbus" cars. To keep things simple, I'll break it down to this: the car is connected to carputer, and the carputer can keep track of individual components on the car. In our case, we need error cancellers to avoid errors and flickering on our cars. Early build E9x's (06-07) are notorious for finicky carputers, the older the worse. So yeah, error cancellers are a must.

Also can you give us some pics with the low beams on from the driver seat? I am curious to see what they look like because I am more then likely going to buy these for my 07 328i.

What kind of error are you getting? bulb error? maybe you can code them instead of the cancelers.

So just to make sure one more time, I don't need anything other than these and cancellers on my pre-LCI halogens stock straight from factory, right?

Just an update. I did end up getting rid of the error and I did so without cancelers. I had to code the error out. I don't know if this error is specific to the 2006 models or what. I guess we'll find out once more people start installing them.

Also, someone requested pics of the low beams on at night from the drivers side. I haven't had a chance to take any more pics, but I can say that I don't think the low beams are quite as good as the OEM lights that I had. They are still perfectly fine for driving, just not quite as good as the OEM low beams.

I just installed these on my 07 prelci too (build date 10/06). I ordered the ones with the HIDs built into them, and they also had error cancelers built in..

They work perfectly fine plug and play but you WILL get errors. The only way to turn them off is to code them out (very easy to do). They now work perfectly, no errors, and are such a huge upgrade over halogens.

Plus the 60x LED angels look SWEEEEEET

Depo lights

I had a pair of these on my E90 the error was such a pain in the ass, I tried different kinds of cancellers and nothing work. Some would work for a month or two and then it was back to square one.

Then one side would turn on and off randomly, I regret ever buying these, the look is great and the halos look bad ass; however, you loose functionality of the lights plus the damm error on the dash.

The 2006 E90 has electrical issues with after market lights, I had these and got the same error, installed cancellers and the error went away for a while then returned, after a few months lights started to misfire, tried different cancellers, HID kits, nothing was ever a permanent fix, in the end I went bacl to stock.
Good luck
