My 330xi does.

EDIT: Btw guys I just ordered the bumper! Should be here by Friday or the following Monday. I also have a friend who has an e46 that is getting an M3 bumper installed on his car as well. Hopefully we can get a little discount from the autobody shop.
nope, maybe its a 325 thing lol...either way, I still wouldnt be concerned, as you said, most cars dont even have those ducts anyway. Do you have a pic of the ducts so I can see what it looks like?

Also, maybe you can wrap the grill scetion in black vinyl to hide the gaps

Umm, this looks ill! As far as the grills go, I think I'm going to take yakev724's suggestion and trim the top.

I really don't want to swap hood. But if it doesn't look right, I may have to.

Well I would but I've been working a on custom angel eye setup for the past couple months. I will be doing exactly what marc (LUXAngelEyes) did to his angel eyes.

I'll be soldering about 450 SMD LEDs behind the oem rings but instead of using a potentiometer to set the brightness, I'll be using a logic board. It will use a phototransistor to detect the amount of ambient light so it adjusts automatically, according to how bright it is outside.

Programming is what is taking me a while.

only the hood... everything else fits pretty good ... the stock liners are not 100%(lci bumper has more holes for screws) but they do the job easily ... never had a problem with it yet

Sure will. I'm about to order all the parts. Though I just cracked a wheel so I want to get that sorted out first.

it seems some people have suggestions for making the pre lci grill fit (unless i read it wrong)...that didnt work for you?

Just use the LCI grilles on the bottom. pre-LCI won't fit at all unless you secure them with something like zip ties. Don't be cheap--it's a noticeable difference. Up to you whether you want to use just the inner pieces (no modification, but leaves gaps), or trim the top parts of the outer pieces and use both together (better look/fitment but you're essentially scrapping a pair of grilles unless you sell them later to someone doing the same conversion).

Another piece of info (which applies to non-M Sport, but I'm sure M Sport has a similar problem): afaik, pre-LCI E90s use H11 fogs. LCI E90s use H8s. Difference is 55W for the H11 and 35W for the H8s, in addition to different shaped tabs, so the bulbs aren't physically interchangeable between housings. If you want to fit H11 bulbs into the new LCI bumper housings, you'll need to trim 2 tabs of the bulb, which is pretty simple with a dremel.

I didn't try using H8 bulbs, but I'd expect them to burn out if they can't handle the higher wattage. From my knowledge, most 35W bulbs are actually rated to 55W+, so they'll work, be brighter, and have a shorter lifespan. I'd recommend quality bulbs as the cheaper ones probably can't handle higher wattage for very long, if at all. IMO, just use your H11s and trim the tabs.

Since both your cars are AW, you should have the grilles done together--one can of primer/paint/clear will easily cover both sets of outer pieces + hood pieces.

I used primer+paint from automotivetouchup.com, came out great, I'll try and take some photos and post them up. I left the chrome on the slats, though. Currently thinking about painting the entire slat pieces (inside faces as well) reflex silver to match my wheels. Maybe mirror covers as well. The silver slats look great on the E53 4.4/4.8

im about to do this exact conversion and did a ton of research.. I found this video on youtube and not sure if you folks have seen it.. but i called the person up i believe his name is J. He explained the process and made this video to show proof that this conversion can be done with OEM hood. I guess he was one of the first to fit lci msport on oem hood and liners. it took him exactly 10 mins to install. he also mentioned the kidney grill you can separate it and use the inner portion which many are unaware of or you can shave down 2' from the top of the of the outside part of the grill if you want to use the full grill. heres the video

Don't mean to bash (esp. since you're new), but read threads before you post?

Didn't want to start a teaser thread because this will be getting sprayed and left in my house to dry for a couple weeks.

After which I will be wrapping my roof, window trim, grills, window trim, and small lip under the performance spoiler in gloss black. And possible get an LCI rear and wrap the bottom gloss black.

Also I should be almost done with my LED angel eyes!

Bumper came today!

Where is a good source for this bumper for those who don't feel like paying $900 for a freaking bumper?

A brand new one will cost you about $500 on Tisher. You can find some used ones in decent condition for about $200 - $300 ebay. If you can get one that matches your car's colour, you're all set.

I'm looking one locally for around $250. Hopefully, I can find one soon.

I'm already done my LCI back conversion and I'm going to be working on the front soon.
