I attended the weekly meet for the VSCCC, FCA, PCA, BMWCSA with Harry tonight as we discussed the perks in depth so I wasn't just reposting information listed on BMWCSA.com

Just to clarify the perks ;

- 10% discount at sponsors like RCTS, Tunerworks, Calgary BMW, Bmw Gallery, etc
- Members only track events
- Organized cruises
- Bi-monthly meets
- Barbecue(s) and the one hosted this year will be epic

@$60/year. . . Pocket change

Yes, we will be without a public track but a private track on private property for members only events will be opening in the very distant future.

I am not a current member yet, but I will be in the coming days. Being an enthusiast is more than just ownership, anyone wanting to attend any of the events to see what it's really about PM me. The perks alone will save you a TON of money, for the barbecue all you need to do is bring your own drinks.

I am a huge supporter of bring all the pure enthusiasts together and those of you who know Harry Stammis or even just briefly spoken with him, know what I'm talking about. To those who also know Ernie Yip, that's who inspired my enthusiasm over 8 years ago and I will always drive BMW

Hey there. This is the guy with the WRX at the last meet. The X3 has July production so hopefully it will get here a few weeks before the snow fall.

Can someone PM me about Tuners for BMW? I did search the 3 series forums and looked at the N54 and N55 threads. Vishnu, Dinan, Giac, Juice Box, Cobb etc are the options and looks like only the JB1 is available for the N55 right now.

Anyways don't want to hi jack the thread so please feel free to PM me with you experiences/suggestions.

Thanks for coming out with us, hope you didn't feel too out of place and I am extending an invite for you to come out again as you are more than welcome to join us again, bimmer or no bimmer.

I'm guessing you ordered a second gen F25 X3 which offers 2 3.0L engines, I bet you got the best option? Another member has a new black F25 xDrive30i with the M package and it is beautiful.

First would be the xDrive28i with the N53B30 offering 272HP/236ft lbs torque.

BMS Power Box
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...53+performance

Second would be the xDrive35i twin turbo N55 offering 306HP/295 ft lbs torque.

JB4
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=551238

Vishnu Procede v5
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=554121

I'm tired, could probably find some more links for you tomorrow. . . Had a very long day today, just ask e90sim how fast I left his place.

Anyways my opinion is that ECU flashes will give you the same sort of gains that won't dissipate over time, but the downfall is not being able to sell your piggyback tune if you sell your car.

There are of course offerings from Dinan and BMW Performance as well, thorough research is your best friend but fellow members will be more than happy to offer their personal experiences.

I have nothing but great words to say about Burger Motorsports! Their support is second to none, and the products speak for themselves.

The N55 support is now gaining a lot of traction; so you will be in good shape once your X3 arrives!

Hey all again im really exited bout upcoming 2nd cruise i really pray my car gets fixed b4 the 24th... its still sitting on my drive way covered up in a car cover really wanna cry everytime i see that rear wheel sticking out. but there is a progress with the insurance they are sending adjuster to look at it... so i really hope that i will make it... it was really a lot of fun last time driving with all of u guys i see bigup still blaming himself for everything not going as smooth as planned and i just wanted to say no need for that bro it was good we all had tons of fun and ur the man for getting every1 together !!!!!!!
i really like that u E90MCF mentioned ------->>>>>I forgot to mention, over enthusiastic driving is NOT welcome. . . A little spirited driving is fine, but when there are other drivers on the road our convoy should be respectful and mindful of those others. We also followed those who took the lead at excessive speed and slowed right down after watching the 130 kmph swerves by 2 cars. this as ppl confuse "cruise" with the "race" i think every1 know definition of the word "Cruise" so i really hope to see nice calm driving in the pretty caravan line or whatever u wanna call it this should be posted in the 1st post

ill definitely go but at this point i cant say 100% as i dont know the status of my car... i also woild like to find more info on joining BMW club (how where and when) any info will be grateful bc im really interested

Done and done, in bold

Harry Stammis who is the VP of BMWCSA, should be coming out with us again on this cruise.
I think we're missing quite a few people?

Probably wouldn't hurt to share our cell #s around a bit more

I don't think we have too many raving psycho's or stalkers in our group!

Walkie Talkies?

Sure, shouldn't matter though BUT only cars with two or more occupants since I would say with great certainty that it would be held in the same respect as cellphone usage AKA $1000 fine.

It'll be a great time and everyone shouldn't hesitate to socialize.

Who are we missing?

Damn!

We are missing a whole lot of people. . .

At least we won't have to worry about getting seperated into 6-8 convoys. . .

Small crowd this time. If any of you have more than one Bimmer you can let me drive your other one. That way I will fit in until I get mine :-)

It is a slow time of the month (Stampede / Holidays / etc) .. not many people are posting in the Alberta thread either ..

Maybe there will some more interest after the weekend? There are a few more names down on Project Technik ..

Is the destination finalized yet?

Kananaskis, going to book the site this weekend.

We need George to make life exciting LOL. . . Or maybe I'll just go get an exhaust and make some videos

Yup .. his car is a lot quieter these days since he put the mufflers back on

His car was looking sharp on Saturday .. we had a small matter of a minor boost leak to fix on his charge pipe (really helps to have the large o-ring in there .. LOL).

Yes, I am already in.... there is another new mod!. I just got new Full Exhaust on my M5 this Monday.... It is a RPI GTS sections 1-2-3!
Freaking addictive!!! Screaming at 8500 RPM is priceless!! It puts my face with double smiles! Also it went to ECU stage 2.1 (the ecu is retuned to better flow parameters on exhaust!!).

That is the same exhaust I have:

Wow.. that sounds fantastic!

What kind of power are you putting down with your mods? Must be quite intense

Gains reported with DynoDynamic from a 3rd party (tested in California)

Stock: 500 hp

RPI GTS exhaust: 17 rwhp
RPI Rams/bmc air filter/block-off plates: 12 rwhp
RPI Pulley: 15 rwhp

All RPI together about 40-44 rwhp (real is about 50-57 hp at sea level)

ECU flash: ~25 hp
(RPM increased to 8500 (8250 in stock), Speed limit removed, Throttle responsively, timing with octane 94 optimized, flow parameters improved, improved fuel efficiency, Optimized Smoothness and Driving Comfort).

So total tuned estimated: ~ 575 HP

To complete, I only need RPI headers, in which makes about 35 rwhp and it will broke the 600 hp barrier. The RPI headers themselves cost ~$6000 way too expensive.... so I prefer a Supercharger from ESS tuning that is still in development and it will cost $10K ish.

Hey guys. I was really hoping to make it to a meet this summer, but missed the last one, and next week, I'll be heading to to Mexico on the Sunday. Hopefully there will be another one in August!

I don't think I'm gonna make it either. My car is a write off and I don't even know how much I'm going to get for it and I have no idea what to get next. 2008 m5 is a good option but I won't be able to get it b4 the meet (( so I'll have to miss this one
