how much louder is PE with catless downpipe? I want more power but not more noise. The PE is more than loud enough when I want it to roar.

Frankly. the 335i stock exhaust is good enough,even better with the N55. I can't say this for 323/325/328 and I couldn't live with the lack of engine note; so I got a PE.

But it is a tad too aggressive for me at high RPM, embarrassing in urban areas. I still miss my E46 "balanced" growl, pleasant at all RPM.

i am also thinking of getting a PE,,,

but what's the price difference like? between PE and aftermarket?

such as Magnaflow for 328i, how much is it, anyone know?

YEAH! I listened to it off laptop speakers and it sounded the same as all the others, but when I saw it posted up again I was like hmmm this must be a good setup so I popped out the headphones to get a real feel for the exhaust and DAMN ITS NICE! I just can't justify the price on this car since I barely even drive it.

Dr. you next mods should be. AFE stage 2 for n52, PSS9/10 for 328i e90, BBK for E90, what else i need? ohh Mtech for e90lci painted jet black....

on a serious note, just install the exhaust. for you an install fee is nothing. It crazy that you havent put it on yet.

The fee is definitely not nothing!! Otherwise I would have put it on right away.

Speaking of which, went to go get the install done, but the mechanic didn't have a blade sharp enough to cut through the OEM exhaust, so I will have to go back in tommorow or Monday... will post up what I think then.

any exhaust shop would be able to install it for you for an hours labour maximum
but then again they might charge you 8 hours, so on that note dont install it.... sell it to me at a discounted price

Drop it off??? Charge you 8 hrs?????WTF - Noize Boys will take less than an hour for an exhaust. They are one of the few shops that do fantastic work! It's worth the drive to the east end.

man i wish i had the dough to drop on a PE right now! I say just put it on and be done with it, i dont think ive heard anyone say that they dont like the sound of it.

If you cant go to Rocco... maybe call bimmersport to see if they can do it?

Id say install it - sounds amazing man. You can always add resonators if its loud when fully kittyless.

My mechanic called saying he got new blades to cut through the OEM exhaust so I will go in Monday to get it installed
