I will be running street tires so I will be lucky to hit low 12s. I can't launch the car without my slicks

Going to run low tire pressure and launch from 2nd to see if it helps. I need the practice though.

With drag radials the car is a monster

Is there some sort of launch control that can be tuned into your ecu setup? I am extremely unfamiliar with the BMW setups.

I dont know about launching in 2nd. Figuring out the right feathering technique with a lower tire pressure will probably yield better 60's. 1st gear typically has a 5:1 torque ratio vs 2.5/3:1 in 2nd. Even at partial throttle youll be in a better position when it finally hooks.

One of the piggy backs tunes has a auto tranny launch control feature, i understand its pretty solid.

I will try both 1st and 2nd, see how it goes.

damn im so tempted to take the day off *cough cough cough*

did you go out last night at all? definitely turbo weather. had to replace my brakes after that last event, had around 100 miles of hard ass tracktime on the Evo, and my pads were gone. much better now.

Turned out to be a perfect night. The track was basically empty and we were free to make as many passes as we wanted. I did not achieve my ultmate objective but I came darn close.

12.199 @ 117.31mph with a 2.026 60' an a 92.44mph 1/8 mile. (sorry for crap BlackBerry pic of slip)

I ran full weight with a 3/4 full tank of 94 octane pump gas and hankook ventus V12 street tires. I also ran a meth mixture of about 80/20.

Pretty darn good run and as usual it was on the 2nd run of the night. The track preparation was probably the worst I have seen it there, the car was horrible at hooking off the line. If I could have hit a 1.9 60' she would have been in the 11s.

The car consistently trapped 116mph running 17 psi of boost. Race gas makes an incredible amount of difference on these cars, when I pushed 18psi of boost the timing was a mess and I actually had lower trap speeds.

Some great guys from Audizine were there, big shout out to them. One of the new S4s with an APR tune ran an 12.6. Pretty darn solid run. All and all a good fun night. Too bad some many no shows. Thanks again to those that came, great seeing everyone!

was a ton of fun irish, i hit my goal of finally making the 12s be it a 12.943 with a 1.945 60 and 109 trap. car ran stronger last time around trapping 110-112 consistenly but was a great night. damn that gtr is a beast!!
