Pics taken before the accident, (newly waxed ), then after. You can clearly see the odd cone shape on the bumper and the fact that there are large gaps around the headlamp where the bumper has been knocked out of alignment. The last pic is there just cos I like the shine and reflections of the trees!

I'm updating this 'cos it makes me feel better to rant!
SAGA insurance. What a bunch of total w****rs! Car still not repaired nearly 5 weeks on: 1. Quote submitted to the accused's insurance company, SAGA for authorisation. Hear nothing at all. Ask bosyshop to submit a second fax. Hear nothing. 2. Ring SAGA who refuse to talk to me, citing the data protection act. 3. Ring the guy who hit me who says he'll ring SAGA. (He's nearly 80 btw...although my dad's nearly 79 and an advanced driver with regular assessments). 4. He rings me back to say that they have received the second fax and will be authorising the repair 'soon' 5. I hear nothing, ring the bodyshop, who have heard nothing. 6. My wife decides to ring the guy on my behalf. He expresses genuine surprise and says he'll contact SAGA again. 7. SAGA won't discuss the claim with him...even though he is their customer!! Instead they ask him to ask me to ring them! Bl**dy jokers. 8. I ring and talk to a helpful guy who takes all my details and says that they haven't authorised the repair yet because they didn't have enough information. Have you asked you client for this information, I enquire. Er...not sure...we thought...etc. I go mildly ballistic at this point and tell them I'm writing to their top brass, Which? magazine, Top Gear etc etc nd that I want my bl**dy expensive, relatively new car put back as it should be asap. I'm now waiting until Monday. What a bunch of clowns.

Sorry to hear this RockIt, why can't people just do things right and efficiently? Is it that difficult?

It is frustrating in this day and age. People expect quality customer service whether it be on ebay or buying a car. Unfortunately, not everyone gets it. I'm currently in the complaints process with Virgin (my old ISP)
The time it takes to sort stuff out is quite frankly ridiculous.

At last! 7 weeks after the event my car now has its new bumper and is looking as it should.
However, having had it hit twice in 6 months the car feels...wrong! Just doesn't feel like the new car that it was...so I'm looking at maybe upgrading to a 335i M Sport, but will wait until the 08 plate. A year to dream!
