Im working on a prototype N55 catted DP with AR design...no smell as far as I know and it still delivers a bump in hp.
Unfortunatley my beta tester left for a two month vacation to Italy and Greece...so I have to wait til september to resume.. |

If you can smell roses, you will smell the catless smell. If you can't smell your food you eat, then you will not smell the catless smell... Just like some people can't smell themselves when they smell. Lol

AR only introduced the catless 4"dp. But its abit strange when the workshop mentioned that no CEL or any other error. This workshop is the distributor of JB3in my country. I checked with them on the smell as well and they gave me a firm answer = NO smell!! after installing for a few customers.
Only way is to test it out myself... |

Installed today and driven the car for 30minutes... I was expecting a really foul smell but to my surprise, there isnt any.
Exhaust is more aggressive and i was expecting a loud 'pop' during upshift or downshift, but there isnt any. |

I have the DP on my N55, and yes, it does smell
N54 owners comment on it, friends comment on it, and I notice it every time I have my windows down and idle. I don't really mind it too much though |

6AT? You won't hear it unless you let off the gas between shifts.

In addition to the smell, one more day of testing with windows down. Stopped at traffic light. Somehow i think i do get alittle bit of smell. I think this is very subjective. Going to try more. |

Hey guys I'm leaning towards not keeping the AR catless dp so if you want it or know anyone interested, here is the link. It is still brand new in box.
