Does anyone know where and how to access the condensation drain pan (is under the a/c unit, but where is the AC unit) and the overflow drain pipe?
Are these part in the below pictures? http://www.realoem.com/bmw/diagrams/f/s/236.png http://www.realoem.com/bmw/diagrams/i/y/310.png The main question is how to access those parts? Thank you! |

I am wondering if I can reach the evaporator from the air duct that sits below the microfilter, and use kilma cleanser directly on top of the evaporator instead reaching from inside the car.

My indy told me last week after he put 1lb into the system that he wishes I had told him about the stink. He says teh evaporator drain(s) under the car can get blocked with debris/cosmoline. I haven't crawled under to see where it is, but he mentioned it could be in the four corners of the cabin.

I still can't figure out where's the drain.
I am probably going to a shop to get access to the evaporator since no one have a DIY on accessing it. What I notice is if you turn on AC, and adjust the temperature close to the outside temperature, the odor last shorter, and air blowing out is cold. However, you still need to blast the fan 10-20 minutes after you turn off AC. This way odor will not come up the next time you turn on AC. I will update you guys after I go to a shop for the evaporator. |
