I have thought about it but to be honest I fancy something a bit different, I love the X5 but feel like a change.

The reality is you will have no chance of tracing the truck-their company wont report it.They will see it as a lucky escape re a claim against them unfortunately.
The only realistic way of tracing it,is if it's an often used rat run, there maybe an anpr camera somewhere on the road.
You could ask the BiB dealing as they will/should know the sites and by using convoy analysis, track the truck.
The Police weren't very helpful tbh there isn't any anpr cameras along that road so I've go no hope Having a 3 week old daughter does put things into perspective I'm just glad I'm ok I can get another car.

Oh, just caught up with this thread, thank God for decent engineering & design, could have been much worse (who knows, the 4x4 could have saved you by being more controlled). Hope you get the 335d sorted as it looks a belter (in either colour) and maybe meet up when you collect.

Get the 335i

Then a JB4

You'll be past stuff so fast, you actually do travel forwards in time - no accident

Please update your sig too.

I was only kidding, bad luck - its bad enough someone else screwing up but its hard to bear when they take off.
Had this happen to me - an unisnsured drug baron from Bristol stuffed the back of my S2000 in.
As you say trafpol are are fricking joke and largely just a money spinning entitiy these days.
Even the regular respose coppers have some choice names for them, we know a few!

Paul, that black 335d has been in for ages, the space grey one is new in. With that in mind I'd be battering them for a good deal on it. Surely they don't want two near identical high-end E91 335d's knocking around. Bit of insider knowledge for you.

Thumbs down

I absolutely hate truck drivers with a passion!! I wish they would all just disappear!! Shouldn't be allowed on our roads.

I had an incident with a truck too, it pulled out into my lane and spun me around and dragged me down the road! I was only in a 106!

Never did get n e thing from insurance cos he wouldn't accept liability and I had no witnesses!

Just seen this Paul..
Went past your business this morning and didn't see your car.
Thought you were having a lie in...

Glad you're OK.
As you know, we drive similar roads most days and some people never use their freakin' mirrors!

Upside = time to pick a new car!

Jeez Paul - you made a proper job of that didn't you!

Pleased your OK tho, that's all that counts, metal can be replaced.

What stretch of road is that, over the top of the chase?

I don't understand how gps and knowing your location in an accident would help? Thi kin back to my accident with the truck it wouldn't have helped me?

That camera looks like a nice idea and not too expensive either. Powering it looks messy though, unless you are prepared to have a wire on the dash.

Seen the camera and potential discount to vehicles over 7.5 tns but this may be linked to rise in staged accidents. A camera is an advantage at times I wish I had one in my old car when a tosser cut me up forcing me off the road.
