Here's another one.
I tried to get in touch with you, Gary, to order, but my thread and email remained un-responded. No luck by phone either. |

Thanks Gary,
Yeah I used the Tirerack visualization tool, think I'm leaning towards anthracite... Any recommendations on non-RFT (LM60) vs RFTs (LM-25)? Also, how many miles do these winter tires usually last? |

Updated pic, snow added.
Fantastic setup, btw - this wheel + x-ice xi2s. If you're not trying to do something stupid, like starting from a dead stop on a san francisco-sized grade, it renders AWD unnecessary. Even when I did that, it made it up the hill. Just. |

Reviving this from the dead. Why is this considered a winter wheel? I like it and am considering it for an all year wheel. Any reason why thats a bad idea?

No reason at all. It was just new option (in Anthracite, at least) at TTR last winter in their winter combos and one a few of us picked. Great wheel.
I liked the look enough that I've been kicking around the idea of picking up another set to run in the summer, actually. |

It can be used year round. Many use it as a winter wheel because it is a good quality wheel in 17" that fits over 335i brakes, is inexpensive and good looking. Wheels http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AH8&...eels/index.jsp

Does anyone have more pics of the anthracite on a jet black e90?
I'm close to buying the 17-inch anthracites, but would like to see some more pics. I think I like the idea of 17s with all season non-rft (DWS) for ride quality, I do about 24k miles per year and much of it is on relatively rough roads in Oklahoma. Then if i decide I want bigger wheels down the road, I can get 18 or 19 summers and make these my winters. Yes, I am typing this out loud to try to talk myself into it, haha. |

I dont have a good side shot, maybe it would be easier to photoshop some of the pictures above and change the color of the car to black?
I tried with pixlr and think I like them. Here's the only exterior pic I currently have uploaded: |

Digging up an old thread but I have an extra 18x8 anthracite Rial Salerno wheel for sale. Brand new in box if anyone is looking to replace a curbed or beat up winter wheel. Will let go for a good price!

Bump for this thread with a question about what winter Rials do for the car's geometry...
I've got 17" Rial Salerno rims on my car right now, for the winter, with 225/45R17 rubber. The car is a 2006 330i sport package, and in the summer uses the stock style 162 wheels on 225/40R18 fronts and 255/35R18 rears, as from the factory. The original wheels have an ET 34 front and ET 37 rear. Not sure about the Rials, I think ET 29? Question: With the Rials the front wheels will be sticking out 5mm further than stock, and the rears 2mm further than stock. Is this something to be worried about, wear-and-tear / safety wise? And spacers won't help right because they'd just make them stick out further... Last edited by sport330i6spd; 11-22-2014 at 04:15 PM.. |
