Yeah, ignore those guys... I think that looks great! And I'm not a fan of lights all over the car.

Everyone always comments on the LED's in the door handles to me... (factory). I think this actually looks classy!

Looks good!

I can understand wanting lights there to be able to cheack and to be honest, it looks pretty good. Better then some installations IŽve seen.

I would have gone with all white, but that is personel preference and cops in Sweden use blue emergency lights only.. If they see me with a bluelight under my hood, IŽm toast.

Let's see, who's paying for this car? You, or the naysayers posting here?

Looks slick - and it's different. Ignore the negative comments! I would have done hyper white for these.

Guys, can anyone else but me see why he is doing this? It is to see and work upon the various components under the hood of his setup. I personally don't get why of all the fancy LED and ambient lighting lights throughout their cars BMW can't outfit under the hood with a light so you can see WTF is going on under it if you ever needed to at night

Ya because we have a thing called the 'led flashlight' now a days, you know what, they even comes in a form of a headband. When you don't need it, it can be tucked away in the center consel or the glove box....

Funny you say this I was just admiring a underhood light in a 2000 Durango the other day when we went to jump start a friend.

I admit some sort of lighting would be benefited. But it needs to be done clean.

After seeing the new pics I'm not as against the idea either.

I sure will....lol. What happens hen you need to see something on the underside of your chargepipe for example? Or does your LED strips have retractable arms that are flexible to allow you to see the underside of something? Just saying....

The white led strips are under the strut brace held on by 3m and betalink and the blue ones are 3m tape and betalinked to the snorkel part before the accordian piece..

Do you realize how bright it is with these led strips, they span out a course of 12 inches and two strips of it? Heck I can see every module or mod clear as day in the hood....A led flashlight will only give you lighting in a small area..Again you seem to be set with your old school ways and thats fine with me but your missing the point of the whole idea behind the lights! BMW should have had lights in the first place from the factory!

Foglights are next to useless for lighting up the road anyway, so why not! RED would be kinda cool, even if i think the cops might not likeŽem.

I actually converted the foglights on my old E46 to auxillary highbeams instead. I need better highbeam more then foglights i never use anyway. Its just a matter of finding a good headlamp module and installing it, they all use the same type voltage/wattage bulb, so no check controll problems.

Got my old modules here http://www.rallylights.com/detail.aspx?ID=1800

LOL, ok.....I use LED lights too, and btw, LED lights aren't old school whatsoever. Flashlight with yellowing bulbs that project yellowish light is old school......So you're saying that your LED strips casts NO SHADOW whatsoever when shined at the top of something? I doubt that....

Anyway, to each his own. Cool story bro!

Ya, that's WHY they're called 'fog lights' and not 'headlights' lol......It's meant to be used in foggy/rainy conditions, and that's where it shines. It is those superwhite foglights that almost render useless in those conditions because white beams reflect more in the fog/rain than do yellow beams. That's why original foglights shines yellow, and not superwhite, lol.

If you ever paid attention to rally racing, notice that they have those HUGE PIAA lights/foglights that project YELLOW lighting vs all other colors.....Just saying.
